Praying for the Capture of Saddam Hussein

Almighty God, we are taught throughout Your Bible that You are a God of Justice. It is because of this that we pray this simple prayer. We believe that Saddam Hussein is a past murderer and that he is still involved in murder. We pray that out of Your Divine Justice that You would enable him quickly to be captured and brought to the Justice that You decree.

We pray for your Divine intervention, Lord. Strip Saddam of his hiding places and of his support.

We pray this in the name of eternal Justice, in the name of Jesus.

Lord God, You are the one who took little children in Your arms and blessed them. Therefore, as we approach the celebration of the birth of Christ, we also read the story of Herod the king who attempted to kill the child Jesus. In his hatred and evil he struck out to kill many innocents. An entire town of toddlers was decimated because of the depravity of that one king.

You taught us that those who injure the little ones, it would be better for him to be cast into the sea with a millstone about his neck.

Sudden and sure judgment.

We pray for sudden and sure judgment on Saddam Hussein. We pray for his soon capture and for the execution of true judgment upon him. His murders have not ceased, Lord God. The blood of children cries out to You from the ground.

Lord God of the ages, we pray You act quickly and powerfully within our time to bring the murderer Saddam Hussein under control. They have fought long and hard to free the people of Iraq and we want total VICTORY. Protect our TROOPS with your angels 24/7 and keep them safe. Put your loving arms around those who have lost love one and those who have love ones away from there home and families. It will be hard for our TROOPS and there families during the Holiday seasons. We ask that the victory will come soon for all people in the world.

Heavenly Father, You are the source of real peace. Your Son, the Prince of Peace, rules in the hearts of believers. We know that the peace You promise is "not as the world gives."

The peace the world gives is a peace that, at best, is simply the absence of conflict. But it is a peace that You accept as a legitimate function of governing authorities.

We pray that small blessing for our soldiers and the people of Iraq; that they would have the absence of conflict. Enable this to come about, Lord, by the soon capture of the murderer Saddam Hussein. So long as he is loose, he will continue his murders and steal peace from both our nations.

Almighty Father, You are the God who knows everything. Therefore, You know the yearning of our people, of many Iraqis, and of many victim families who desire the immediate capture of the murderer Saddam Hussein.

We believe our prayers are heard as soon as uttered... even before. We pray for Saddam's soon capture because we yearn for justice. In that, we yearn for You.
