Strangely enough, I'm here in the city today and I don't have that same sense of gloom and doom that I had in the last week leading up to today. I'll take a walk up to Fifth Avenue at lunch time and salute the Veterans marching in the parade, hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and carry on. They were actually giving out free AM newspapers with the headline "Dirty Bomb Scare". Anyone reading that headline who hasn't been tuned in to what's going on probably freaked out when they saw that.
