A bouncing 9lb 3oz boy was delivered at about 16:00 CST. If that's what "several weeks early" produced, I shudder to think what full term woulda been.
Thanking God for another precious birth.

Yo there, TexasCowboy!
I'm grateful for the terrific news on this new little one who has made his grand entrance!
We just had a request on our troop prayer thread for the infant of a serviceman who is having some serious health problems. We have offered a prayer for the little one on our thread, but we also wanted to alert those who have been holding the torch for Logan and these other little ones who have been having such a tough time.
Here is the post (263 on the 8thd troop prayer thread
http://freerepublic.com/focus/news/994696/posts?page=290 ) :
Please pray for my cousin, Michael. He's been deployed somewhere this past week. (We don't know where.) Ask the Lord for protection.
Also pray for his wife, Michelle and their infant (2 mos) daughter, Alexis. Alexis appears to have some sort of genetic liver problem and the doctors are not sure exactly what it is yet. Alexis goes in this coming monday (11/10) for more testing. Ask God to give the doctors wisdom to discern what the problem is with the baby. Ask the Lord to give Michelle strength and faith to deal with her husband's deployment and the baby's health issue.

It is all good. Prayers going up from Newport Oregon.
Very good to take the baby early as the risk of going to term with the placenta misplaced may cause o2 exchange problems.
Coming to us early in this case is a good thing.

How do like Royal Jamaicans?
I really miss them. Been 6 yrs. since I had one. Smoked a cheap gift cigar out on the deck one night and got so sick I never smoked again.
But I love to stroll around behind cigar smokers. Men with cigars are cool. Cigarette smoke yuk.
