My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Happy Snow-filled Monday!
Sam: That's a great picture!
Tonight, on the main stage at the "Cop'er Bar"
Oswald and the Rubyists.
.
I hope to be more of a browser/poster on this thread.
I've come to the realization that I really don't care for some of the "condescensional critique" by one of the folks at the "north of the border" poetry place. *sigh* (Most of you know where I mean)
Anyways, it's sunny and cold here in Minnesota, and we've got a fresh coating of 6" of snow.

Welcome to the Lair, Johnny. I know Feather, like the rest of us, will be glad to see your poetry contributions here.

Welcome Johnny. The atmosphere is much better here. It's fun and easy and we have no alterior motives. :)

In my admittedly short experience in the Lair, everyone has been very kind to the sometimes lonely ramblings of a rank amateur.

Officially, 8.9 inches. In my driveway, about a foot and half. We got drifts. I was up at 5:30 this morning to snowblow my driveway and naturally, as soon as I finished the plow socked me right back in. Ordinarily I don't profane the language, but there are times when it at least makes you feel good.

Johnny,
So glad you are here in the Lair. Please post your poetry.

Ah the "good ole days" LOL! As God is my witness, I swear this: that although I live in the most beautiful part of the most beautiful state in the Union, I will be a snowbird someday.
Mmhmm. Yep. I will!

My eyes follow your
silhouetted motion
my memories-gone cold
you show me a smile
in a smokey mirror
you kiss my eyes
killing me softly...

Ordinarily I don't profane the language, but there are times when it at least makes you feel good. ROFL! I hear ya. Same with me. I haven't bothered with the driveway for what we got. This is the first winter where I don't "have to" clear the driveway. You see my wife did 'in-home daycare' up till last June, so I was obligated to clear the driveway each time it snowed.

Caught off guard I fell so hard
the bell then rang
around walked the girl with a card
My head sang like a bard
The bout was over, I'd lost my heart

I heard the bells ring
the birds sang at midnight
I walked o'er bog
in the fog
and saw your ghost
play the fife
in my dream...

*chuckle*
Neat.
I was debating on posting the below:
*Echoing voice in empty thread*
"Umm.. hello?"
Unfortunately, the echoes get the attention of the furniture, which comes stampeding at the speaker in an insane herding dust raising clot.
"AAaaaaaugh!"
Buried under the insane furniture, our protagonist passes out!
Join us next time folks when the thread gets slow and the furniture reanimates on it's next victim.
And find out if our protagonist survives!

To echo you-
*Chuckle*
To: bentfeather
The chuckling echo in the thread did fall
The animated furniture didst it call
The laugher screaming ran down the hall
From under the pile for help did call...
