                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

 slip your hand into mine
 pull me closer to you
sway with me in the moonlight

i'll place gentle kisses down your neck

 feel the warmth rise
let the passion stir within you

 don't let go
 don't stop
think only of what you feel at this moment

 hold on
 and fly away with me

Yep. I just sit here and when I decide to write I do. I don't give them any time, once it's in my head it's out the door!! LOL.

That's the best way to write, in my experience. No fuss, no muss, no second-guessing. At least not much. :)

    Another beauty, snippy!
And you find such perfect graphics to go with your poems.

Hubby has fiiiiiinally stumbled out here from his nap and is ready for some supper. I'm glad because I'm about to fall out from hunger. LOL!! I'll catch y'all later.

    I would walk with him
 in the moonlight
 listen for the call of
 the lonely dove
 and know it was
 him remembering me
on cold nights in our memory

True. Second guessing just ruins the whole thing for me. Pieces that I second guess generally end up deleted from my notepad.

Ha! Never, ever. I still consider it thinking rather than writing. I just write what I'm thinking when I write prose. Now the haiku, that was work!

 the lonely dove
 and know it was
 him remembering me
on cold nights in our memory
  All around, I see her
Her voice in the whispering of the trees
Her face illuminated in the stars
Yet I fear it is only me who remembers
My faith must stay strong, lest I wither
 The night is cold
 My love is warm
But she is not in my arms.

LOL. I'm so glad to see you use the expression "fall out", must be a regional thing. I've had to explain it to SAM at least twice when I've said something using that expression.
