If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I stand, humbly amazed. Which is actually an improvement since if I were actually on that tower I'd be trying to keep down my lunch. :)

Me as well, Colonel. I love flying so going up and down doesn't bother me, however, tall buildings are another story!!
  Little pun there, hehehehe

I don't mind flying. It's landing that bugs me. :)

I have been on a 1000' tower near the top. I used to sky dive and hang glide. Now I just fly small planes. I used to rock climb but never tried anything above a few hundred feet. I once layed in the boomer compartment of a KC-135 at 35,000 and looked straight down. I have no fear of heights but that picture has something wrong with it. I can't put my finger on it. The people appear to be wearing harnesses but only the one on the right has a cable that I can see. The guy on the right appears to have his legs through the grid as if he's standing not sitting. The lone foot and lower leg appears to be standing on the opposite side. It appears to be an actual vertical structure they are on but something still isn't right. It could just be shadows. I vote fakery.

I teach you to take of and fly around in minutes, (I'm not an instructor). Landings take more time.

I'm afraid of heights, yet I'll free climb cliff faces.
*shrugs*
I have no idea what the difference is.
I just know that I have no trouble with cliffs, but buildings and such...

    I love flying.
Had a small stint in a trainer aircraft ala airplane ride.
It was a low wing trainer, forget actual manufacturer, but the pilot let me take the controls for a bit.
Level flight in good weather is easy.
Don't know how it would've handled if there had been any weather events moving into the area.
No, I did NOT land the aircraft.
And the pilot took a huge risk letting me take the controls like that, he could've stood to lose his license for it, but since I'm still here...
But for a moment, a brief moment it felt like I was even with the eagles.

Correction: From someone who does know what flight regs are, I being completely unknowledgable on these things, the pilot couldn't lose his license for letting me take the stick.
*PHEW!*

Yes, I was worried about that, it being a private airport we flew out of.
And thanks for the correction on it!

Great feeling eh, Darksheare. I would fly anytime any place. That's a big Woo Hoo for me.

I left on my trip this fall Sept 11. Some people thought that was hairy.

Take out the third, fifth and sixth letters and it's "Red Digest."
