My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Glad you like it. Got the idea today watching the people walking on the street downtown, and it sort of fell in place. It always amazes me where ideas come from!

It has a wonderful beat to it. Especially the last stanza.
It's really good.

Well, lets get one of the board musicians to put it to a tune and we'll use the residuals to finace the board. :^)

My negotitating skills are a bit like watching a scrap crusher flatten a car, perhaps we need someone with more subtly!

Good night fair lass, until the non, for I go now to the folds of Morphus's cape of dreams, and the glories found therein.

Part The Second We are watching still...
The Night moves on, but We are watching still.
We live our lives through the lines and lights.
Here, secluded from the World of Light,
we revel in the new intimacy that unfolds before us.
Intimacy?
How can you caress a spark?
How can you hold an online hand?
And what can we derive from a virtual kiss?
I'll tell you Our secret...
We have a power the Others don't have,
those of the Light World that shuns us.
It gives us back what we used to be, and wish to be again...
We can IMAGINE...
So, I shall caress you, my spark of life...
I shall hold you, my online lover...
and I shall taste your kiss in my mind and heart,
For THAT, tho' they try, they cannot take.
Listen to Us...

Good morning poets!
Sunday morning,
time to rhyme,
can we waltz in two/four time,
poets can do it just fine!

Classic poets on love. So true.
I've missed a lot the last few days I see. We are back on track at the Foxhole and I hope to catch up with what I've missed here at the Lair!

"TIS THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER"
'Tis the last rose of Summer,
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh!
I'll not leave thee, thou lone one,
To pine on the stem;
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves o'er the bed
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
And from Love's shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts lie withered,
And fond ones are flown,
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?

Ahhhhhhhh *sigh* now this man could write poetry.
The last stanza is a SWOON, so beautiful.
Thank You SAM for finding just the right poem.
