In the Yuma Daily Sun this morning there was a small story about two young women who were caught at the immigration inspection station on I-8 near Winterhaven, CA, (just across the Colorado River from Yuma) with a sizable quanity of ricin or the main components for ricin. Apparently, they were headed east. I don't have the paper with me and the story is not online. The names and ages were given. The names were not arab sounding , but they weren't Britney Williams and Laurie Smith either. What would two nice girls need all that ricin for?

I find this alarming. Why in the world would anyone be carrying this stuff other than with bad intentions?? Keep us informed if you hear anything else, I couldn't find anything online either. Also, is in line with the female bomber theory. They may have recruited women to do their dirty work.

Got to be joking?! Yeah, President Sir, let 'em in!!!

Did find this online from YumaDS: 24 illegals nabbed on Interstate 8 Jan 7, 2004 Twenty-four illegal aliens were detained and two smuggling suspects arrested Monday night after U.S. Border Patrol agents stopped a tractor-trailer on Interstate 8 west of Yuma. All of the immigrants were from Mexico and two were children ages 9 and 11, the Border Patrol said. Twenty-one of the immigrants were found hidden within a load of wooden pallets in the trailer of the 1997 Peterbilt truck, while three others were found in the sleeper compartment, the Border Patrol said. The aliens were found as agents assigned to the checkpoint were conducting an immigration inspection of the truck at about 10 p.m. The checkpoint is located in the westbound lanes of the highway west of Winterhaven. The driver, a 29-year-old man, and a 19-year-old female passenger, both U.S. citizens, were being held Tuesday on felony smuggling charges. Their names were not released
