the problem is, the media are part of the elites. so instead of reporting that an exodus of elected officials has occurred, they will just save themselves. that's why I gave that example about hitchens, why is a vanity fair author in the loop for a tip like this?
All true. I wondered the same thing about Hitchens and who he knows. I found out myself via Drudge through an advance leak about an article in Newsweek or Time, I think.
I have never heard that Rudy vacated Manhattan back then. Do you know if his whereabouts were ever confirmed during that nuke threat in 2001? Rudy's the strong, respectable type who would go down with the ship, IMO.
