I have never heard that Rudy vacated Manhattan back then. Do you know if his whereabouts were ever confirmed during that nuke threat in 2001? Rudy's the strong, respectable type who would go down with the ship, IMO.
I never heard but I doubt he would. Bloomberg was in Times Square during the "dirty bomb" threat this year. I think they key is that people make up their own minds as to whether they believe it. Hitchens said he did not leave NY when he was tipped.
