Busiest in the world, actually.

Perhaps we are lucky enough to be left out of this round. Of course, if they blow up Atlanta, they lose propaganda opportunities on CNN.

Trust me - I'm paying attention to this stuff. My home is about 4.5 miles east, and downwind, of downtown Atlanta. Or about 15 seconds, in terms of a small nuclear blast downtown. I've thought about it enough to know how many of those seconds it will take to get to my daughter's bed, scoop her up and get to the basement. But Atlanta has certain advantages, in terms of being a terror target. It's sprawling nature makes it tough to even figure out where to hit. Downtown? Midtown? Buckhead? A 1 kilo blast downtown would barely nick Buckhead. Houston also has this "advantage." Also, does AQ really want to massacre a large number of African-Americans?

I hope not - I'm about 10 miles (as the crow flies) due west of downtown Atlanta.

I'm guessing that AQ would have the common sense not to destroy Atlanta; I'm figuring (like you are) that they like the free publicity they get from CNN.

But to change the subject slightly, I live near Brown Field/Fulton County Airport, one of Atlanta's two major municipal fields. In any event, just before the terror level got raised, two massive military four-engine aircraft took off from Charlie Brown, and went west. There is a longer runway that can accomodate larger craft, but they very rarely use that airport. Military craft almost always go to Dobbins ARB about 10 miles north of me in Marietta.

Sunday night yet another large military plane took off out of Charlie Brown; I watched it turn northwest, then north from there. No clue as to what they were doing or where they were going.

Anybody else notice any unusual plane movements recently?
