Khattab was a Jordanian who moved to chechnya and became a muslim hero there. The (Russian) FSB poisoned him, and really ticked off the chechens bigtime. His pic is on this thread twice and if you are reading through you will prob'ly see it. The big pic with Arabic that Sabertooth posted...the big face on the right is Khattab.
There are a small group of us on FR who have been quietly counting the chechen leaders as Russia knocked them off. Khattab was a big one for Russia. He was seriously wahabi and deadly. He only had one leg left when they got him because he had lost one to a mine.
