I have no background on vegetative growth in Asia (nor on the gardens in my yard); but, what would be the harm if we did have Saddam/Osama? Why would it be a political move? Wouldn't it more than likely be a Psy Ops move? Our Intel is trying to track down other members of the cells. So, it would make sense to keep the captures quiet to see what other cells are doing what and when to capture them.

Opinions?

No problem if we had him on ice for a while or even Osama.

Remember TommyFranks or Myers in Oct/Early Nov.saying we'll have Saddam by the end of the year of so.

I just wanted to post the AP photo relating to what daleel was rambling about. I really don't know enough to make a case that Saddam was captured months ago.

I agree, who cares if we kept him for a while before officially coming forward that we have him. If it helps our cause, so be it.

It could be a Psy Ops move, if indeed the climate in Iraq is not conducive to drying meats or harvesting dates in the middle of December. Or we really got him in December (which I tend to believe)and did some finagling with pictures to intentionally throw off the enemy. ...The goal being "keep the enemy wondering if it was really Saddam", confuse them, and keep them speculating about what really is the truth.
