Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Can't tell whether it's "real" or not, but the consequences of such an attack would be catastrophic and devastating to any nation or person aligned with Islam.

The entirety of the non-Muslim world would view Islamic nations and individuals as an immediate threat, to be dealt with in the most severe and unambiguous terms. The reaction would be savage, unremitting, and final. And I mean nuclear. Pakistan's nukes will be vaporized. The "Arab" oilfields will be seized. In the US, the vast majority of Muslims would be forcibly incarcerated or worse.

There will be no Caliphate, anywhere, ever. These Islamist animals would become the bane of all human civilation, and be exterminated without mercy.

Is Apparent Registrant of Terror Site a University Professor Connected with Self-Proclaimed al Qaida Operative?

    A recent threat on an al Qaeda related web site threatens to destroy New York within 35 days.

    According to www.debka.com, an Israeli based internet intelligence digest, the threat made headlines on the front page of Il Giornale, a respected Italian newspaper. However, there appears to have been no American media coverage.

    The threat was contained in a video clip featured on a web site allegedly associated with al Qaeda. At the time of writing, the clip was still on line atwww.khayma.com/iraqihell/End%20US.htm. According to debka.com, the newspaper reported the video announced al Qaeda plans to destroy New York in a nuclear blast on February 2.

    The video clip showed a number of possible scenarios. A bomb or giant fireball from the sky covering New York with a radioactive cloud. A storm of radioactive clouds toppling skyscrapers one by one, along with the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge being blown to pieces. An explosion on board a charter aircraft that would cause a radioactive cloud to spread over the city.

    The video clip was also accompanied, Debka said the newspaper reported, by large, red-lettered Arabic captions saying: "If God wills it, the end of America is near."

    The administrative contact for the site is apparently Dr. Sami Shaban, a professor with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) University's Dept. of Medical Education in Al-Ain in the UAE.

    A university faculty listing says Shaban is listing "out of faculty." On line information for the site listed Shaban as having a street address in Bowie, MD.

    Attempts to obtain a telephone number to contact Shaban at the address in Bowie were unsuccessful.

    It is important not to discount the possibility that Shaban's site could have conceivably been hacked, a practise that has been routine by members of the al Qaida in the last year or so.

    There could conceivably be a link between Shaban and Daleel Almojahid, a self- professed al Qaida operative who for some weeks was broadcasting messages of destruction to America through his Yahoo groups message board.

    Recently all of Almojahid's writings, which included a list of demands to the Bush Administration ( fulfilment of which was apparently necessary to prevent future attacks upon America) were pulled from the site and replaced with a link to the video described in this article.

    Almojahid was writing from the United Arab Emirates, initially from computers located at the American University at Sharjah. Typically very prolific, Almojahid has been conspicuously silent the last few days and has not responded to requests for comment on any connection between him and the presumed site registrant.

    While neither the video or the seriousness of the threat have been assessed , as www.debka.com pointed out, "The report appeared in a newspaper widely viewed as the flagship of Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi. Such reports - even if not authenticated - tend to contribute to the mounting sense of alarm generated by â€˜Orange Alert' in America and other Western countries."

Anyone who wants to monitor these threats should check out the alneda forum on itshappening.com. There are other forums on the site where you do not have to register and you will see these forums listed on the main page. But the alneda forum remains absolutely invisible unless you are logged in. Arabic and other messages are placed there from all over the web.

GENERAL: As recently published in the London-based Arabic daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, a videotape montage in production by high level al Qaeda operatives is in its final editing stage. The release of this videotape is expected to be broadcast after a "deathblow" is delivered within the United States, allegedly scheduled to take place by 2 February 2004. This videotape should not be confused with the last montage created and distributed in mid-December. Additionally, intelligence obtained and analyzed found credible evidence that the "deathblow" will involve a much larger number of terrorist operatives, most if not all who are already living in the US, and consist of a series of concurrent attacks at strategic and symbolic targets in the US. These strikes are expected to be focused on the US infrastructure as well as targets of high symbolism. Reoccurring targets include New York, Washington DC. Los Angeles CA and Las Vegas. It is utterly inconceivable that China, Russia, India, and/or Israel would allow a radical Islamist regime (e.g., a post-Musharaff Pakistan) to possess nuclear weapons. Remember, the scenario is that the Islamists have detonated a nuke in America, and subsequently gain power in Pakistan.

Which of the above nuclear powers do you think will give one inch of slack to their radical Islamist neighbor, which embraces an ideology that includes the tactical nuking of "infidel" countries?
