Warning of imminent US terror attacks; Islamic website claims 'final blows in the crucial battles at hand'

An Arabic-language al-Qaida-style message posted on an Islamic website threatens imminent attacks on the U.S. ­ attacks described as "the final blows in the crucial battles at hand," reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence newsletter.


The threats, authored by Abu Abd Al-Rahman Al-Turkemani, appear on the Global Islamic Media site and were posted in recent days, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute. "This posting is aimed at reinforcing the morale of Islamist activists in their ongoing struggle,"
reports MEMRI, which translates Arabic media, sermons and messages into English and other Western languages. The message is titled: "The Final Blows in the Decisive Battles Are At Hand."


MEMRI discounts other threats as non-credible, but its analysts determined this warning ­ due to its style and non-specificity ­ to be genuine. "The final blows in the crucial battles are at hand," it reads. "We are now living in crucial days and we are seeing how the government of the idol of this age [i.e. the U.S.] is filled with fear and dread, dreaming of obtaining security and calm, and spending a billion dollars every week in order to protect itself from the imminent unknown danger coming from the direction [of the enemy] that they claimed to have completely destroyed years ago …


"It continues: "We are seeing that they have [finally] understood the oath of the commander of the Jihad army [Osama bin Laden] and they now know that he meant exactly what he said [when he was valiantly facing the armies of the new Crusade]: We are now engaged in Jihad between the
armies of faith, truth, and goodness as opposed to the armies of unbelief, falsehood, and evil. … The crucial battle is about to begin. The swords have been drawn from their scabbards, and the fingers are on the triggers. Happy are those who choose [to join] the camp of the believers(Muslims) and choose the profitable deal [i.e., to sacrifice themselves in Jihad], and woe to those who join the losers [the armies of unbelief] who are in the lowest compartment of Hell.


"This is a crucial issue in a crucial battle in crucial days," the warning states. "The great harvest [of the enemies of Allah] is at the gates. And who knows ­ it may be imminent. … On the other hand, who knows, perhaps it is not imminent. There may be blows not by firearms to weaken the great serpent [i.e. the U.S.] as silent blows which do not require military skirmishes and without threatening. …


Those who ask, 'When will the crucial battle and the final blows come?' and keeps waiting for the event to come, without carrying out his own duties to prepare for it ­ are not of the armies of truth. They are merely onlookers, who have failed to join the Jihad ­ which is a personal duty for all Muslims. … The war between us and unbelief and the people of unbelief is a war between two unequal forces. They surpass us in material preparedness, and we surpass them with the preparedness of belief, and courageous resolve …"


MEMRI analysts find the threat credible because it uses the style commonly used by known al-Qaida supporters and employs Quranic verses and even direct references to bin Laden's speeches. "As is common in bin Laden's addresses to Muslims, the posting calls on Muslims to remember their religious duty to wage Jihad, and not to wait to watch it on television as onlookers," MEMRI reports. "Based on all the above, the credibility of this posting is much greater than that of the others."

Did you see the post last night re: Norad tracking Air France flight 68 and giving them an F-16 escort? I also heard they were tracking some of the flights coming in from Mexico but nothing specific. That flight has been ordered to dock at a building away from the terminal since the day before they were ordered not to enter our airspace on Christmas Eve. All passengers were body searched more than once as was their baggage.

We all need to stay alert this evening and report anything unusual on local news etc.

Additionally a homicide bomber just blew up a restaurant in Baghdad just before midnight killing 4.

Yes, I was watching that thread yesterday about the AF68 to LA.

Some were commenting that a number of flights have been escorted for a few days now.

Combine that with those stowaways in wheel-wells, things are picking up. Maybe the stowaways were just poor souls who wanted to get here no matter what, and not terrorist attempts, still it makes you wonder about security breaches.

I just wonder how long we can keep up this level of alertness. Well, we just have to keep doing it, until more of the leadership is stopped in their tracks.

I can't see the letters clearly but I can see the lines. They are evenly spaced, except one. That one looks like the tropic of cancer.

Looking at a globe along the tropic of cancer I found a place that looks a bit like that - Gujarat, India. What do you think?
