The food on Cher's final tour must be really, really good...

Here's an August 9, 2002 pic...
The 200 concerts in Cher's Farewell tour -- which started last year and is set to wrap October 31, 2003 at the Sky Tent in Toronto -- grossed $145 million and drew 2.2 million fans. Cher's earnings of $70 million for her 2003 dates will again rank her among the elite artists of the year. In her genre, Rule rules.
No one can creep-out the reader as she can. The evil is palpable on the pages.
Thanks for the good information and the linkage.

Whatever we may think of some entertainers, they surely have figgered out the way to the bank. Big Time.

The sausages were about 4 or 5 inches long, fat, and had an unusual flavor Bangers. Icky Bangers is what we called them.

Too true. And I'm proud that I have never contributed to the majority of them.

It's amazing that people pay money for those "dresses."
Goodness.

That should fuel you up with enough gas to enjoy yourself throughout the day.

Why was he unable to reach inside and unlock his own door?It wasn't open enough for his arm. A trap for a smaller woman, in other words. Dimwittedly, I didn't see it that way at the time. My refusal to assist was an automatic reflex from childhood training that it is inappropriate for someone to even ask an unaccompanied woman for help, regardless of how reasonable the request, how nicely they they asked, or how much you felt sorry for them. At the time I actually felt bad about not helping. If my brain had been even halfway working I would have reported him to security.

Perhaps Cher figures if she becoms too "zaftig," she'll just have another liposuction job.
She who would be First Lady (but wouldn't spend any time on those silly First Lady duties, as her medical practice occupies her time and attention):
thread.

Well British cooking isn't all that bad...they have given us some good things...We used to pal around with a couple from England and the wife was an excellent cook of both American dishes and English dishes. She made a Cornwall pasty that you would die for...pastry filled with veggies and meat and cheese or whatever....And at Christmas time she made two Marzipan cakes that took her days to make...they were absolutely beautiful but I was never fortunate to be at her home when she actually cut and ate the cakes..
And don't forget the English trifle and of course, beef and yorkshire pudding (which is really just a popover that falls when cooking so it looks squashed down, lol.
Re: Bangers...one of our friends remarked that she was anxious to visit England and try some bangers and our English friend remarked, in her very British accent: "Whatever for, they don't taste at all good".

Thanks for the upside to Brit cooking - nice looking prime rib there.

Raining cats and dogs here.
Spent the afternoon doing painting preps for the painters who arrive on Tuesday.
I'm off to Jenah Lynn's birthday party.

Welcome back, E. Any restaurant, hotel, etc. recommendations for others visiting that fair city?

Well Mae, I always stay at the DFW Hilton - it's actually off airport territory and there's easy access to everything. It's a very nice hotel and they've had the same doorman forever. He always remembers my name, for which he is well tipped.
Fri and Sat I stayed at the family "hotel" - my brother's house. Went to a high school football game Fri nite - Texas high school football is as strong as ever. I always enjoy going home to Dallas but am always glad to get back to the midwest. I love having doors opened for me and having complete strangers say "hello" spontaineously in grocery store parking lots and elevators, etc. But the "old boy network" is a bit difficult to take after a few days.
I love Texas and wouldn't mind having a ranch in Boerne, but that assumes I'd have more money than God, because the ranch would be second to the Martha's Vineyard estate. Hah! In my dreams.
