I just wish she would rely more on her talent and less on her slutty personae. She has enough of the former to not need any of the latter to be a star.

I agree with you about Christina. She's got a great set of pipes. I don't know why she's taking what could've been a great career in the direction she is. It's a real waste.

Parsonally I have some hope for Miss Mandy Moore. She is exceptionally attractive, not a sleaze like Britney and Christina (not yet anyway), and has a good voice. She has a new album of covers out right now and from the samples I have heard, it is at least worth a listen.

Christina does have a great voice, however her act is not about her voice. It is about a package of a dirty - and I mean dirty - prostitute marketed to the masses. It is about shock value. Her appearance is disgusting. Her songs have all the Maria Carey or Whitney Houston-esqe vocal gymnastics that do nothing to add to a song in the musical sense (it is overdone and without artistic sensitivity). I have an expression for it, but decorum prevents me from saying it on a public board.

4. My sex life is none of your damn business. However, as a SINGLE male in my mid-20s, I will admit that I would not pass up an opportunity to date Ms. Spears should such opportunity present itself.

If it bothers you that much, turn of the TV/radio and don't buy her CDs. Or are you one of those people who thinks that your definition of "morality" should be enforced by law? If you aren't, what's the point of going over-the-top like you have?

The fact is she could strip it all off and do stuff ten times worse than she does in her videos, and she wouldn't be even one tenth as dangerous as people who believe that their own pet peeves on cultural matters constitute natural law and need to be enforced...."for our own good" of course. Such is the thinking of the Taliban, and IMO more than a few "cultural conservatives".
