Happy Birthday.

If you look at the 'Moonscape' photo, there is a deer in the middle of all that mess. Those poor animals.

Thanks for the wishes. ;-)

I'm glad I did not study your friend's pics.

Awesome photos, HLL. Thanks for sharing.

Things look a bit better today. The Cedar Fire is now 100% contained...that is the one near us. AND IT IS STARTING TO RAIN IN SOME PARTS OF THE COUNTY. Jerry Rivers is in town...was in Julian where it was treacherous. I suppose Hillary will show up soon to check our Air Quality, claim it to be unhealthy, and blame it on W!!!

Lots of displaced animals, both wild and domestic. A friend has one horse on her property and volunteered to board some horses for evacuees and before she knew it, had 19 horses and said, stop, I can't take care of any more. In a couple of hours, she had to be evacuated and all of the horses had to be reboarded. So owners are having to play detective in many cases like this to find their horses, many of whom are at the DelMar Racetrack.

Almost 2000 homes lost and the death toll will go up...Just devastating.
