Word For The Day, Tuesday, October 14, 2003

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

conniption \con*nip*shun\, noun:

1. A fit of violent emotion, such as anger or panic. Also called conniption fit.

One can but hope that the trend in California sweeps the nation and we see a decisive victory in the 2004 elections. With that, it is a fervent desire that we see the DNC rolling in a conniption fit the likes of which we have never seen before. Besides being somewhat triumphant, it would be purely amusing. --RikaStrom – WFTD Teacher.

If you want to see what Maria should look like, find a recent Picture of Naomi Wolf....

You mean the woman who AlGore paid 15k a month to dress him like an alpha male?

At least the speed is back. I kind of like it when it's slow because I can't type fast anyway.

Even George Will took time to comment on the conniption fits about to be unleashed in England this week.
