Word For The Day, Tuesday, October 14, 2003
The Verbivores | 10/14/03 | Teacher

Posted on 10/14/2003 5:34:59 AM PDT by RikaStrom

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

conniption \con*nip*shun\, noun:

1. A fit of violent emotion, such as anger or panic. Also called conniption fit.

One can but hope that the trend in California sweeps the nation and we see a decisive victory in the 2004 elections. With that, it is a fervent desire that we see the DNC rolling in a conniption fit the likes of which we have never seen before. Besides being somewhat triumphant, it would be purely amusing. --RikaStrom – WFTD Teacher.

I think that's just part of the process. Plus it keeps people from "helping" them while they work.

The spouse did(the oak was too hard to hand drive it) and it went in crooked so the big mess began when he tried to extract it. It all went downhill from that point.

Insert profanity and pacing and you've got it.

xshub and repairs are not unlike xshub and a losing SU team. LOUD profanity, at the top of lungs, not a good scene.

my SIL and i talk about this all the time. my brother is a perfectionist and can do most anything around the house, but he doesn't always have time to do what she needs done. xshub has no problems with me calling someone, bc he knows he can't do it w/o having a nervous breakdown and he mostly doesn't have the time. so i am better off in some ways, while she sits aggravated waiting for xsbro to have the time to do what she needs done.

What is the diameter of the remaining screw? If it's large enough you can buy a smaller steel dril bit and drill a hole in the shank. Then take a small extractor and insert in hole. Using a wrench turn the extractor slowly anti- clockwise, the wrench or vice grips should allow it to bite better than in a high speed drill and prevent further breakage. Or cover it with duct tape and paint it flat black.

Yes. But because the spindle is limiting the access it only went so far. The builder had a hole drilled but it was empty when he pried the putty out. Have I mentioned what morons my builder used?

Damnation, that is expensive per square ft! Here the average is about $70 to $80 per sq. ft, but Tilson Builders can still do a really plain Jane (but nice) house for $65. We built ours for under $70, but it would have been nearly $100 per sq. ft if we had hired an outside contractor, because it is built to look like an old ranch/farm house that has been renovated. For $110, you can have a veritable palace, like the ones in one of the snootier neighborhoods here where people with lots more money than we have live.
