In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
conniption \con*nip*shun\, noun:
1. A fit of violent emotion, such as anger or panic. Also called conniption fit.
One can but hope that the trend in California sweeps the nation and we see a decisive victory in the 2004 elections. With that, it is a fervent desire that we see the DNC rolling in a conniption fit the likes of which we have never seen before. Besides being somewhat triumphant, it would be purely amusing. --RikaStrom WFTD Teacher.

They had one limp flea at one point. Just remember that the bus is not allowed in express check out lane.

Oh, good, its back up to speed! Just in time for me to have to wash my hair and start dinner.
I met with the young woman who wants to be my partner in my housecleaning/make-ready business, and I was very favorably impressed. She is bilingual (leave that alone, Robert, if you are lurking here), her references are excellent, she lives only 18 miles away, and she is not afraid of work. We are going to clean my house and hers on Friday for a time and motion study. That will tell us how many man-hours it takes to do a small/medium 3-2 and a large 4-3, so we can price from there. I feel good about this...

With a high pressure washer and a backpack leaf blower, 3000 square foot house takes 10 minutes.

You're right-and the only drawback to the method is that it destroys the furnishings. I don't think the customers would be inclined to give me any repeat business...

Our across the street neighbor and his little girl have her plastic slide in the front yard, and are taking turns sliding down. It's cute, but he is one dorkie doofus.

Dorky but a very good daddy as best as I can tell. Playing with the kids makes daddies instead of just being sperm donors.

But, but, but ... If you followed xsmommy when she follows the helmet law you'd be drivin' backwards!

It is for both new construction, realtors with houses for sale and women who want their house cleaned every week/two weeks. There is no one up here who does either one any more, so people are paying as much as $30 per hour for someone to come from the city to do it. Why let someone else have that business when this young lady and I live in the area, and would love to have the money? It is also income you can count on more than construction contracts.
