More than 14 million Americans have already voted ahead of midterms

Early voting is available in most states ahead of the midterm elections, and more than 14 million Americans have already cast their ballots, according to new data.

More states are opening early voting this week, with Michigan and New York set to offer it Saturday. About 14.3 million voters have cast ballots in the 2026 general election, according to the University of Florida’s Election Lab. That includes about 9.1 million mail-in ballots and 5.2 million in-person early votes. Early in-person voting began Tuesday in Hawaii, Louisiana, Missouri, Utah and Wisconsin.

At an early voting site in Wisconsin, some voters said they wanted to cast their ballots now for convenience and to ensure they get counted.

“I do have some concerns about interference from the federal level if they don’t like the way things are going,” said David Hoban, a Wisconsin voter.

Another Wisconsin voter, Linda Haag, said politics shaped her choices.

“Anyone who aligns with Trump is not on my list,” she said. “My theory is vote blue no matter who (is) in this election.”

President Donald Trump has repeatedly pushed unsubstantiated fraud claims about mail-in voting. More recently, he has gone back and forth on whether to ask Republicans to vote early.

“I’d rather have a vote in person, but they can vote by mail if they want, because we seem to have no choice,” Trump told reporters earlier this month.

A new Associated Press-NORC poll finds Republican confidence in the accuracy of the vote count has increased since Trump returned to power. Democrats’ confidence in election results has fallen dramatically since the 2022 midterms, from 75% then to 55% now.

And that illegal alien handcuffed being led by federal officers after his arrest for not only registering without citizenship but voting “more than once.” is an example in California.

Should make lazy types on our side ashamed they want to skip this election and wait for perfect candidates and an end to war before they get off the recliner chairs.

Vote.

I sure hope the GOP’s early turnout is more than typical, otherwise this spells disaster on Election Day.

From what I see so far, it appears we’ll keep the Senate. But we are struggling in states like NC, Iowa and Kansas so we may lose the House.

Or how you say “I’m an idiot” in Wisconsin

OK, and how many extra ballots will be printed and counted?

Early voting or election day voting is still only 1 vote.

Worth remembering just in case someone asks how democrats can allow commies, men with Nazi tattoos, perverts, anti-semites, and sexual weirdos into their 'tent'... If you're asked point to a picture of this fool, Linda Haag.

I voted early today. Straight REPUBLICAN. Been a REPUBLICAN ever said LBJ said he would not send American boys to SE Asia then when elected in 1964 promptly DID.
I have also been on Jury Duty.

Kin were all democrat but never registered to vote as they did not want to be called for Jury Duty. I joke that since they have all died, every election day they rise from the dead and vote Democrat.

That’s my mom’s political philosophy. “Democrat no matter what.” The more insane the more she like them. My vote has never counted once in all my voting years.

Now all they have to do is publish the results of the early voting on election day for all of those who have not yet voted to see. Don’t laugh. It’s coming to your local precinct soon.

There’s gotta be a way you can check to see if they voted. If the local county GOP can’t find out for you they’re useless. There’s a lotta that going on on our side.

I am a parish court clerk registered mail-in voter. My ballot is on their way to the courthouse.

Though I employ the label “Libertarian’, I disagree with some of their views. Originally, though just a teen, I was a Goldwater Republican. With the death of JFK, the Democrats began to infuse socialist ideas into their party, and I was not going to agree with that.

All the reporting so far, if you can believe it, is saying plus double digits for republicans in early voting. Comparing the 2024 and 2022 early vote returns. That’s good. It means more people are motivated to vote on our side. Hopefully the trend continues with a huge pump on Election Day.

In honest elections it is turnout from hardcore supporters that makes the difference. The extremists are the ones who decide the outcomes.

Forget the "moderates" and the "independents". They usually vote Democrat, if they vote at all. At best it is a 50/50 split on what they do.

I voted early. Maybe I convinced a few like-minded people to vote, who otherwise were going to skip that activity. It was the best I could do.

9.1 million mail-in ballots and 5.2 million in-person early votes.

9.1 million mail-in ballots count them until they come out right way the democrats want?.
