CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said Democrats have a “big siren warning sign" ahead of Election Day and it is close polling margins in key Senate toss-up races.
Enten said the Senate is "too close to call," as the polling shows many races within the margin of error and Democrats will have to wait until Election Day to see if polling is right, or if Republicans outperform and remain in control.
Midterm elections are commonly viewed as a test of the political environment facing the party in power, and the president's party has historically lost seats during them. Republicans now hold a narrow majority in both the House and Senate.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump's overall approval rating and ranking on specific policy issues like the economy, immigration, jobs and the ongoing war in Iran have slipped as households across America are consistently flagging affordability concerns.
As the president is traversing the nation, stumping for Republicans in key races, he has been handed unfavorable polling including a record low approval for both terms in office in a new Fox News poll.

It’s funny. He works for CNN and I can see him on Fox.

I don’t think I’ve seen a big “October surprise” but I have seen tremendously slanted news this month. Anything bad is hyped up. Anything good is not discussed. It’s all aimed at creating an anti-Republican mindset in the country as November approaches.
Once the election is over, I imagine the news will take a break and (more or less) just report things with their usual bias but without the extreme bias. And I bet the world will immediately start looking very different.
And, in my opinion, if the Republicans hold the House and Senate, both Iran and Ukraine may conclude their wars. And maybe even Cuba will change its government. If we win the November, the whole world will look much better.
If things are looking better in the Senate for the Republicans, the House may be shifting right as well.
Meanwhile, guess who’s in the UK for a conflab with its Deep State just before midterms...

Wonder who else went with Obama and who those people met with, because Obama and Burnham are just useful idiot frontmen.
I’m tired of his shtick.
Agree. It is starting to come across as dopey “gee, look what I found”, when he damn well knows the Dems have been cooking the books the whole time!
With so much early voting, any "surprise" occurring in the next two weeks will be too late to have a material effect. What seems to be happening instead is a massive landfill load of negative advertising, trying to persuade the non-base to stay home.
OTOH all the negative ads might be that the left has to squish the right because it has nothing to run on that it wants the public to know about, and the right is genuinely scared to death (correctly) of having the left get into power.
Karl Rove would never allow his truth to get out. They have the worst polls of anyone. Pure NeverTrump.
We'll find out in 17 days.
I agree. I’m always surprised and sort of pleased when Enten seems fair, neutral and bold. all at once.
Enten appears to be reasonable.
Enten always puts a Republican spin on things.
President Trump falls in approval ratings for two terms, despite winning three elections.
They’d better, cuz the Democrats can’t wait to undo as much of what Trump has done as possible, and to block the rest for the next two years.
“if Republicans outperform”
In the primaries, in many places, MAGA stayed home and did not vote. In what places is the MAGA get-out-the-vote effort effective and what can other places learn from it?
I always wonder WHO they’re polling - since they get it wrong so often.
I heard one pollsters say large swaths of the voting population are ignored by polling - rural Whites, who vote red, and Hispanics, who are trending red.
>If things are looking better in the Senate for the Republicans, the House may be shifting right as well.
I think the real boomerang might be that 3-4 House suburban seats in Cali might flip red. People are fed up with the gas taxes, the fires, and the leadership. I’m not saying LA or SF, but Riverside, parts around Sacramento.
