Polls continue to dole out depressing numbers for Republicans, with several Senate races defying earlier predictions and Democrats radically outperforming how then-Vice President Kamala Harris fared against President Donald Trump in 2024.
The polling numbers for Trump and the GOP have been brutal as his second term has progressed, with Americans’ views on his handling of the economy and immigration — topics on which he had previously outpolled Democrats — taking a dive.
The president’s war in Iran has been another issue dragging down his polling, specifically because of its impact on gas prices.
Several recent polls have had shocking results, including one in Florida that showed Republican incumbent Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) tied with her Democratic opponent, State Rep. Angie Nixon (D), and an internal poll in Texas that showed not just State Rep. James Talarico (D) ahead of scandal-plagued Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race, but other Republicans getting annihilated across the board in a legislative district that voted for Trump by 17 points.
Add the Michigan and Iowa races for U.S. Senate to that list. Polls of these two races from respected pollsters drew a lot of attention Tuesday.
In Michigan, progressive Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed was viewed as a potentially weaker candidate in the general election against former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), but a new poll by Suffolk University has him with his largest lead yet.

Hardly shocking. The pollsters do this kind of crap every election — fake polls. A tactic as old as the hills and almost as dusty.
The NBC Poll had Ds up four in the congressional races and the Rasmussen Poll had them up by five. How does that translate into crazy margins like those cited? Other polls show Rogers down by 1-2 in Michigan and the R up by one in Iowa.
There’s like a 92% chance that Kamala beats Trump. And Hillary’s chances were even greater. If you believe the polls.
Americans will get what they voted for.

You're right. The shiftless GOP in DC should have ensured voter ID at least. Even with huge majorities in parties and independents they couldn't or wouldn't get it done.
I'm in Michigan and can assure you the elections and counting are NOT done honestly.

Heard a couple of people were interested in the new White House Ballroom, the name changes like the Gulf of America and the 8 wars Trump tamped down with ceasefires in 2025.
They don’t feel like voting, though.
No, but its the same Iowa whose Des Moines Register pollster predicted Harris would win the state in 2024 by 3.2 points; Trump won Iowa by 13.2 points for a 16.4 point spread.
