Rumors are flying in China over Xi Jinping begin taken ill during his visit to India. They include claims that he suffered a minor illness to experiencing a stroke worsened by by failure to treat early. Some wild claims say rival group armies are mobilizing for civil war. No confirmation but Treasury Sec Bessent is meeting with Chinese counterparts today and we’ll see if the summit for Sept. 24 is still on

How would you know?

[Governor Dinwiddie]

I told him not to eat the shrimp curry!

China is due for a transition. And I think this one will be a hard one. Xi seems to have purged everyone who may have had a talent for leadership. He is the one and only at this point. When he is gone, who knows what will happen?

Stroke! Stroke!

DFG is quoting some guy named Bill Gertz on X. The real question is who is Bill Gertz and is he and/or his sources credible? We’ll find out soon enough.

[Jamestown1630]

He’s looked unhealthy for a long time.

[MtnClimber]

Are they taking him to the “Down Elevator” yet?

[fastrock]

This means the six families have found someone to replace premier Xi.

[V_TWIN]

It’s just an excuse to avoid coming to the WH.

[Libloather]

Is there anyone on deck?

[Kudsman]

Will they also use cardboard stand ins?

[PGalt]

Interesting.Thanks for posting.

[Mlheureux]

Poisoned by rivals. Sounds communist.

I’m not sure the civil war talk is even a remote possibility.

At any rate the world doesn’t want a civil war there; when the Chinese finally go to war with themselves tens, even hundreds of millions die.

The worst conflicts on the planet.

Gertz has been around for a long time as a political -military reporter. He gets a little strident, but his sources have often been impeccable. I used to see his stuff on Drudge report back before Matt Drudge went guanopathic.
