Federal authorities apprehended several illegal aliens amid an investigation into alleged fraudulent use of stolen identities and Social Security numbers in Tennessee.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provided Border Hawk with photographs and details on the suspects, who were arrested on Aug. 4.
All three individuals are Guatemalan nationals who were already under final orders of removal from the U.S.
Magdalena Gomez-Garcia is accused of stealing the identity of a New York resident and using it to work for a local employer in Tennessee. The victim realized the wages were being attributed to her Social Security number, forcing her to repeatedly contact authorities to correct her records.
Gomez-Garcia was encountered by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) in 2018 near San Luis, Arizona. She was issued a notice to appear before a federal immigration judge. In April 2019, she was issued a final order of removal in absentia.

Elias Gomez-Garcia has prior arrests for traffic offenses in South Carolina and Kentucky. He was deported from the U.S. three times — in 2009, 2011, and 2018.

Eulalia Ordonez-Carmelo was encountered after illegally crossing the southern border near the Rio Grande Valley on March 13, 2022.

She was issued a notice to appear and released on her own recognizance. On Feb. 27, 2023, an immigration judge ordered Ordonez removed from the U.S.
“These crimes have real victims,” said ICE New Orleans acting Field Office Director Scott Ladwig.
“Fraudulent documents and stolen identities can cause lasting harm to victims, workers and businesses. I commend our officers and partners for their work to hold offenders accountable and protect our communities.”
ICE says additional charges may be forthcoming.

I guess I should check mine.
How is that even done?
Where in Tennessee. ICE just raided a couple of businesses here in Greeneville, TN. Wonder if it’s the same case?
Some years ago I got a call from the AZ Dept. of Revenue asking about where I worked, etc.
I asked why. He said my social security number was linked to an individual in Yuma, someplace I never worked.
He said he would correct the records. I told him not to. He asked why. I told him it would increase my SS when I retired.
He laughed, but said he had to do it.
So Elias has now committed at least three felonies. Hope La Migra throw the book at him.
Just coming to make a better life for themselves. While making victims of Americans. I would love to see ICE release how many welfare programs these human garbage cans were on and how much tax dollars they consumed. I’m sure each of them have half a dozen grappling hook babies they squatted on IS soil.

ID theft is massive. About a dozen years ago a collection agency was after my son because he rented an apartment in
Texas and then skipped out after not paying rent for months.
He explained to them that he owns a house in Minneapolis and has never been to Texas. He was cleared but it took a lot of work to clean up his credit report and other things.
They just use the made up SS numbers they got from the coyotes, the democrat party bureaucrat, the IRS worker who got a bribe, or just made one up. None of which were ever verified by an employer.
I have experience with this as I am an Enrolled Agent. I have had clients with a 1099-NEC (contract labor) tax document that does not belong to them. The 1099-NEC is the most common tax document for identity theft.
Set up an ID.me account at irs.gov. Click on Tax Records. Look at your “Wage and Income” transcript for each tax year. Verify that all tax documents belong to you. For married couples, each spouse has to set up an ID.me account to look at their “Wage and Income” transcript. Only one spouse has to set up the ID.me account to look at their Married Filing Joint Tax Return, Account, or Record of Account transcript.
The IRS computer system runs a document match about 18 months after a return is filed. If there is a mismatch between the return and tax documents in the IRS system, the IRS computer system generates a CP2000 notice. An amendment might be needed if the CP2000 tax, interest, penalties are not correct. Common issues are sale of home not reported on the return, missing stock transactions, capital gains, self-employment income/expenses. The CP2000 tax calculates ordinary tax rate but not the capital gain tax rate. An amendment is usually needed if the issue is related to capital gains.
Where in Tennessee ???
Looks like none of the leeches have discovered my number - yet.

Prison cures that

My cousin lives in Madison County NC between greenville tn and Ashville NC. He likes Greenville better than Ashville. Me too. When I was a kid I used to help him plant, sucker, cut, and hang tobacco. Then we’d drive out of the moutains to bring it to a gigantic tobacco warehouse in Greenville. There was good money for my cousins in even small acre tobacco alotments at the time. This was back in the 60’s and 70’s. that’s all gone away and the warehouse in Greenville burned down.
I still live in Northern Virginia. I go south to NC more and more infrequently. The road is 81 to Bristol and then from Bristol to Greenville and then from Greenville to up in the moutains.
That mountain road is wider than it was 50 years ago. There are no crosses and flowers on ever switchback like there used to be.
A strange thing happens that I don’t quite understand when I cross the border from Virginia to Tennessee. The Virginia side of the border looks poor and run down. But the instant the road crosses into Tennessee, everything looks prosperous and well maintained.
Do you know why that is?
Identity theft? But how is that possible???
Democrats and some Republicans don’t want to pass the SAVE Act because they claim blacks don’t have IDs or are too dumb to obtain them. Kind of goes along with the leftist idea that Americans no longer have the ability to go vote on an election day, after successfully doing it for 250 years.
Notice all the non-white immigrants that come to our shores, Haiti, for example, some legal, some illegal. They come here, can’t speak the language, but are cunning enough to steal billions of dollars of taxpayer money. And they most assuredly have IDs.

they love federal prison. always a job with the federal prison industries, can make 3-600 a month, no taxes, free food, medical, recreation, laundry, clothes, even trade schools, send the money home and retire after 5 years.
