Republicans Rebound In Texas! New Polls Show Paxton, Abbott On Track To Win
YouTube ^ | 08/15/2026 | Election Time

Posted on 08/15/2026 2:52:44 PM PDT by SmokingJoe

This video provides an analysis of the 2026 Texas elections, focusing on why Republicans remain the favorites to win both the U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races, despite the state's shifting demographics. U.S. Senate Race (0:57 - 8:24)

Candidates: The race features Republican Ken Paxton versus Democrat James Talerico.

The Forecast: While some polls show a tight race, the video argues these often underestimate Republican strength (as seen in past election results). Forecast models currently give Ken Paxton a significant advantage (79.6%) with a projected average win of 5.4%.

Historical Context: Republicans have maintained dominance in Texas Senate elections since 1990, and the video emphasizes the difficulty Democrats face in breaking this trend despite high-profile efforts.

Gubernatorial Race (8:25 - 12:24)

Candidates: The incumbent, Greg Abbott, is seeking a fourth term against Democrat Gina Hina Joyce.

The Forecast: This race is described as more lopsided, with Abbott holding a consistent lead in polling (5.5%) and an 86.7% chance of winning according to the video's forecast.

Historical Context: No Democrat has won a governor's race in Texas in over three decades. The video anticipates Abbott will secure a historic victory to become the longest-serving governor in the state's history.

Conclusion: The video concludes that unless there is a significant shift, the GOP is positioned to maintain control in both statewide elections this November.

What rebound? They were never behind except in some fever-dream leftist polls.

You should see the commercials that Alfred E. Newman is putting on around the time of the nightly news. He appears to be an alpha male now.

After Robert O’Rourke didn’t come close to either the Senate or the Governor’s mansion in Texas after polling ahead, this doesn’t surprise me. I never believed those polls showing Talerico ahead.

There’s still enough men in Texas to know that effeminate loser ain’t cutting it.

I’m not sure what he is waiting for, but the Paxton campaign, conservative social media and talk radio needs to start talking about Talarico’s views on Christianity, transgenderism, and veganism.

I like it when national liberal media push polls never going to win liberals in Texas. It brings stupid democrat money away from otherwise competitive national races. Now...when polling is saying stupid stuff closer to the election...especially in compromised areas of dallas/houston
..thats a setup for the steal.

Please come to Kentucky! We now have a city council that in 2023 placed sharia lending as a special accommodation equal to that of secular lending. IOW, the council just carved out a place for sharia EQUAL to secular laws. This was passed in 2023 and NOW, we find out.

We either have a constitution that does not establish religion in government, or this!

We need Texans here!

I don’t trust the reporting. The polls may be correct, but I don’t trust the reporting. I believe that they’re either just NOW reporting the truth, or they’re trying to make it seem like a sure thing for the Republicans in hopes that they can get a significant number to stay home and not vote.

It is always best to be on the offense. That said the race has always been ours to lose. Paxton is not a stupid man.

They are pushing Texas hard but there is pushback, too. Lots of deportations for example.

I have said before that I know 13 family members and friends who have moved to TX well enough that I know how they vote.

Texas got 10 solid R votes, a Libertarian vote, and a lib out of the deal. One apolitical that won’t register or vote.

I am moving over from CA in the fall so make it 11 solid R voters out of 14. Us migrants are NOT bad news, and statistics bear that out over uninformed claims.

Never let down your guard, but TX (and FL) are ours right now.

Talarico has not chance and never had a chance. I have seen/heard so many commie lib supporters claiming how Talarico will be the next Texas Senator. LOL. Hilarious. Not a snowball’s chance in hell.

I guess we can’t stop them from dreaming before November. I can’t wait until this race is put to bed and watch all the tearful videos from shocked Democrat/DSA voters.

Texas is not completely Californicated. Yet.

Plus, we have a pretty good handle on the election process, I think.

I don’t believe the issue was ever in doubt. News outlets wanting advertising money from campaigns and if it’s a done deal nobody spends the money.
