Say hello to Bryan Axel Ramirez Gomez and, while you’re at it, go ahead and say good-bye, because young Mr. Gomez shuffled off this mortal coil in February, after deciding to start a shootout with police in Elkhart, Indiana, which lasted only three seconds. What do you notice about the photo of Gomez? Does that jersey signify that he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox? Well, Elkhart is only 112 miles from Chicago, and I suppose it’s possible that Gomez was a White Sox fan, but a quick Google search indicates that wearing White Sox regalia is common among certain gangs affiliated with the Crips. Just had to point this out.
That was the headline from WNDU-TV, the NBC-owned affiliate in South Bend, about 20 miles from Elkhart, two days after the shooting...
This kind of story — “Family Demands Answers” — has become a media cliché in recent years. Anytime someone gets killed by cops, there is automatically the insinuation that the cops did something wrong, and the media promote this narrative. Simple question: Why did the family want to get Indiana State Police to take over the case? Was there any reason to suspect bias on the part of county prosecutor Vicki Becker, whose office was in charge of investigating the officer-involved shooting?

Adios.
Wannabe gang banger wanted a shootout with cops?
Bang bang, you’re dead.
In Spanish or English?
AMF. Good riddance. The gene pool improved just a little bit, world peace is aided and world hunger decreased. More similar work is needed.
Parents everywhere, don’t raise stupid children. They will be better off for your effort.
In a better world the 'press' would be asking 'what the hell's wrong with the parents of these criminals??
“In Spanish or English?”
Ramirez Gomez
take a wild A guess ..
Shoulda been shot for sporting that bowl haircut.
Did I mention that if the family wants answers the should get together and interrogate a mirror?
“Family demands answers” LOL.
He drew down on 3 cops and they ventilated him.

He should’ve been shot for that haircut.

Better question, what’s their immigration status
Good article. Thanks for posting.
Ramirez as a first name indicates flawed assimilation...
Glad the policemen got to go home safely to their families, but it is sad they were forced to defend themselves against this thug life teen. Something they will have to carry with them for the rest of their lives. The thug teen’s family needs to do some introspective reflection and reset their family culture.
FAFO.
Don’t get into shootouts with cops and you’ll live longer.
Police body cams 99% of the time exonerate the police.
The family can go pound sand. They raised the thug. Their situation was self-inflicted.
I want answers from the family!
Why does their son raise healthcare costs and public servant insurance rates with his violence?
He was held accountable but why did he do it? I want the family and associates who condoned his behavior brought to justice!
I want them to pay!
Healthcare costs associated with felonious acts must be charged to the surviving associates and family members whom supported violent action.
