China is leading as a global innovator in humanoid robotics, according to a new LexisNexis patent analysis. The report analyzed more than 26,000 patent families to identify the countries and companies that are leading innovation in humanoid robotics. China claimed the top five spots.
In total, Chinese companies occupy six of the 10 spots for the most innovative humanoid robotics startups in the world, according to the report. Shanghai-based Fourier and AgiBot ranked first and second, followed by Shenzhen-based LimX Dynamics and Pudu Robotics, and Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics. Shenzhen’s Leju Robotics also made the top 10, ranking ninth.

In fact, I believe we are behind the power curve. The politics of armed robots without a man in the loop (DOW wasn't to keen on that in the past/present), a slight social pacifistic bent (some robot manufacturers having a mission statement of not being for warfare), a society that has become somewhat technology weary may it be fear of loss of jobs, this self loathing white guilt or apocalyptic stories like the Terminator... have made it to where it is questionable if we are really in pole position.
This cannot be stopped - period.
The question is only if we are at the tip of the spear technologically, become a major player in manufacturing and can harness these capabilities in a leading role for our military, or if we are a follower.
This statistic is very telling IMHO: https://www.facebook.com/100077993982184/posts/-china-leads-the-humanoid-robot-revolution-with-chinese-made-robots-making-up-ne/938540375422420/

No one is going to stop this, no more than the printing press, train, or computer.

My real fear, is that China is in the world of AI one the of the leaders. They are in robotics and drones one of the leaders. They are as a manufacturing base 180% our (US) size.

Just ondering, is this the same LexisNexis that Rush Limbaugh occasionally employed?
Yes those 600k PRC STEM students in the US is such a good Trumpian idea!
When will the Chinese “Long Time block 1” sexbots going to be ready?
Quantity has a quality of all its own.
i would like to see where we rank on factory robotics.
There’s just one glitch. Whenever I power it up, it mocks me and calls me “stupid”.
Probably a short circuit somewhere.
“My name is Talky Tina and I’m going to kill you”
We’ll soon see them used to commit crimes or terrorism.
They already had permission to be here from pedo Joe and the Ho.
Three US companies—Figure AI, Apptronik, and Agility Robotics—ranked sixth, eighth, and 10th, while Germany’s Agile Robots was the only European company to make the list.No mention of Boston Dynamics.
I didn’t see any mention regarding Tesla’s robots. Just wondering where they might be on the competitive spectrum.
You all miss the point: China wants to lead in the technologies to build robotic infantry. They don’t have to worry about killing the wrong people or rules of engagement. They will be used to flood the zone with completely expendable and highly mobile firepower - like an amphibious landing in Taiwan - and reduce their actual casualties in the process.
After drones, it will be the coming frontier of warfare.
Visas handed out can be removed! Should have been done immediately! Trump did state in so many words they were necessary for US universities R/D STEM programs. I saw the article quoting him.
China Central Television (CCTV) recently showcased a pair of robot dogs, one equipped with a machine gun and the other driven by artificial intelligence (AI). Resembling Boston Dynamics' ‘Spot’ robo-canine, these digital hounds were revealed earlier this week by the state broadcaster.Betamax was better than VHS.
Boston Dynamics signed an open pledge not to weaponize their general-purpose advanced robots or software, and they do not support others doing so.

In the US we have a large number of women CEOs (that makes a difference).

Far left peace nick types that today have become mainstream even if men.
You have a lot of people that flat out “hate America” (ideological usually) but they still want to live here.
These attitudes are heavily reflected in the tech industry which while benefiting from open creative environment, government and defense spending, free trade, are often very far left. Look at Google, they were more or less catapulted to pole postilion by the NSA, and they are left on every issue and pro-Democrat - however, they do work hand in glove with out IC especially abroad.
Now China is making fake people ,LOL
The true measure of a nations power, post industrial revolution and the advent of technology, is in a nations industrial, manufacturing, and tech base.
How sovereign these are, and if they posses certain key enabling technologies.
WWII proved that theory.
China worries me.
