Does this have to do with those “Teen Takeovers” of streets and shopping malls by black teenagers making problems for everybody?
Murder, drug dealing, etc.
I wonder, does the Parental Accountability Initiative https://www.wistv.com/2026/07/17/rcsd-3-more-richland-county-parents-charged-under-parental-accountability-initiative/ allow parents to be charged with murder and drug dealing along with their minor children? Does any parent accountability law anywhere allow that?
Does this include the mom who drove her son to where he made the hit?
These perps doing crimes at night are not children having been left in an overheated car. They are aware of the law and chose to break it.
The parents and family get punished enough when their young perps go through the system.
Or do they?
Maybe they should FIRST try actually punishing the perp youths, instead of ascribing it to naivete and not enough Capri Suns and nurturing.

I only see two so called fathers.
I hope so.
However, if you spank them or discipline them to what same Karen thinks is too much, expect to be called by Child Protective Services—maybe lose your kid to the hellhole of foster care.
Hmmm…2 of the 12 are not like the others
I think the part that gets me is that parents are not allowed to spank. Parents are not allowed to know if kids are getting abortions, hormones, BCP or castrating drugs. Kids are removed if parents try and help the kids understand that they can’t elect to be another sex. Parents are not allowed to know the results of 12 year old’s medical exam.
IMO the state has frayed and emasculated the parent child relationship, made kids impossible to guide, discipline or control. Now that same state wants to put parents in jail for criminal behavior by the kids. Catch 22 brought to us by the left. Destroy the family and the next generation in easy steps.
If a parent contributed to the crime, didn’t lock up a gun, provided drugs or alcohol, encouraged criminal behavior that’s a form of contributory negligence and there is culpability. Otherwise one person can never control another especially with school distorting morality and modeling destructive behavior and encouraging kids to lie and decieve parents.
Kudos to Sheriff Lott and all of that administration taking this seriously.

Therein lies the problem.
He announced one of the parents was charged with accessory to murder after the fact for helping her son cover up the crime and taking him out of town to treat a gunshot wound.

Something like that happened at my wife’s work too. Mother drove son to kill someone.
