10x felon escapes from electronic monitoring — until he’s found in the Governor’s back yard

A man on pretrial release in a felony retail theft case that he picked up while already on pretrial release for another shoplifting charge disappeared from the Cook County chief judge’s electronic monitoring program for 11 days before authorities found him again — in the back yard of Gov. JB Pritzker’s Gold Coast mansion, court records show.

Those records also indicate that, despite Chief Judge Charles Beach’s public pledge that “major violations” of the court’s electronic monitoring program would be brought before a judge within 24 hours, 10-time convicted felon Dwayne Milton began violating the terms of his release almost immediately upon being outfitted with an ankle monitor, and those violations continued for six consecutive nights before the matter was reported to a judge.

Milton resolved the felony retail theft case by pleading guilty in exchange for a one-year prison sentence from Judge Gillespie. Court records show he received credit for 71 days served, including time spent on electronic monitoring, and will be eligible for the standard 50% sentence reduction under Illinois law.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Nobody is safe in Illinois.

Illinois allows all prison convicts to be released after serving only one half of their sentences which produces farcical results.

First, its amazing that they took someone arrested for shoplifting seriously in Chicago. I’m surprised they didn’t just let him go. Second, the electronic monitoring system in most states is a joke. If a prisoner cuts his band for the monitor, the cops don’t actively look for him. If he is arrested for something else, he is charged for cutting his band, but if he lays low, he usually is safe. Which brings me to this idiot. If he didn’t scale the governor’s fence, he’d probably be free right now.

Dwayne should have hopped the bus to Dubuque- the gated community leftists would have found him a nice house in a neighborhood they haven't diversified yet.

Fat Prickstard is still trying to get Amtrak to help make Iowa an Illinois colony, so in a couple of years, maybe Dwayne will be able to take the train.

"Nobody is safe in Illinois."

Especially with the obviously corrupt judges Illinois has.

The “Fat Bastard” (an “Austin Powers” reference) frequently ignores Illinois issues entirely as he is focused upon purchasing the 2028 Democratic Presidential nomination for himself.

He is slavishly devoted to serving the Democratic Socialists because he thinks that these misfits will determine who the 2028 nominee will be. As a consequence, he will sign any bills into law that are advanced by the Marxists.

In 45 years as a PO we used an ankle monitor one time. The guy took off. Never did it again. When asked by others I told them it was tried and didn’t work. They said but it was only one time. I said I learn quickly. Sit in jail and learn to draw flowers for mama.

In other words, they're slow learners in Cook County.

That very first sentence is hard to make sense of.
Not sure what’s missing, maybe a comma or two.
But the basic story is a very familiar one.
