CNN’s Dana Bash attempted to use Saturday’s Patriot Front demonstrations in Washington, DC, to attack Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and President Trump, purporting to be appalled by the “serious” incident.
“Turning to something much more serious that happened yesterday,” Bash said as if the demonstration was a deadly massacre, “several 100 masked men belonging to the white nationalist group, the Patriot Front, marched with Confederate flags, and they did it through neighborhoods in the US Capitol, at least near the Capitol, and they chanted ‘Reclaim America.'”
“There’s a widely circulated photograph, I’m sure you’ve seen it, taken by Reuters of an African American woman on a subway surrounded by members of this group. Are you concerned about this?” she continued.
She was referencing a viral photo of a black woman casually sitting on the DC Metro in a train car filled with Patriot Front demonstrators, none of whom appeared to even interact with her. The editors of Reuters are now attempting to contact the black woman photographed to further their narrative about racist white people.
Bash went on to ask Burgum, “Do you condemn this group and what they were doing, and more, most importantly, what they stand for?”
“Well, I think that the certainly is what they stand for is nothing that I could possibly agree with, but one of the foundational principles the United States, which makes democracy messy, is free speech, and there are plenty of things that I see that I might personally find offensive, irreprehensible, but in America, free speech is allowed, and this is by the whole spectrum of things,” Burgum said, accurately noting that, meanwhile, we have literal Communists infiltrating our country.
“I mean, we’re a country where someone can run and be elected saying that they’re a communist, but yet this is what our nation has stood against and fought for because we’re about life and liberty,” he added. “We’re not about death and tyranny, which we know communism has brought across the country and across history, so there are plenty things in history, and those things can pop up, but the good news is these small things, I think, are the rare example. What we saw last night, what we’ve seen this week is people unifying around our country, unifying around the flag.”
Bash then asked, “As Interior Secretary, will you recommend to the President that he condemn this group and what they were trying to message, what they did try to message here in Washington?”
“Part of my response to that is that there are protests on the Mall that people say things that I think are irreprehensible about President Trump, and yet they’re allowed to go on because of free speech in our country,” Burgum fired back before Bash cut him off, crying, “This is White nationalism.”
Trying to get the last word, Bash continued, “It’s as you said, a part of America’s history that still has pockets, but the fact that they were here in Washington on such an important day. I do want to move on,” and Burgum shut her down.
“But I do think, again, I mean, there are people that are saying death to Israel and death to America. I mean, this is part of free speech in America. They can say it, we can object to it, but it is, it is something that comes with free speech in America,” Burgum said.
Meanwhile, the left-wing media never calls for Democrats to condemn groups like Antifa, committing actual violence in the streets of America and calling for the death of President Trump right there in Washington. Instead, they clutch their pearls when some Fed group comes to DC and marches around, hurting nobody.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Patriot Front group, which many believe is an FBI or Southern Poverty Law Center-organized operation to discredit conservatives and nationalism.
Notably, the Charlottesville rally, from which Patriot Front was born, was coordinated in part by the SPLC. According to a DOJ indictment of the SPLC charging the organization with 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering, they paid a field source during the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally to incite violence. Then, out of nowhere, this group sprang up.
The group was seen gathering and marching from DC’s Union Station, where they chanted “Life, Liberty, Victory” and “Reclaim America!”
The group was wearing khaki pants, navy blue shirts, green hats, combat boots, and white face masks to conceal their identities, and carrying various flags, including American and Confederate flags. Some flew the American flag upside down, a signal of distress.

They keep harping on the Confederate flags, but most of the flags in the photos are American flags or the original Betsy Ross American flag.

Inasmuch as 1.) this so called “Patriot Front” has been seen before, arrested in rental trucks transporting them (traced to internal Federal agencies), are likely the remnants of the so called “counter-insurgency” elements of Leftist US gov (either employed or now unemployed, and 2.) I would hope that Kash and company used cell tower interceptors to monitor that group - because they strike me as a rent-a-mob, carefully disguised. I would identify them by their cell phones and the links that those provide - like calling SPLC or maybe a Soros cut-out to make sure the checks were ready.
And Dana Bash should be fired for being so stupid as to swallow that whole - Dana, how many KKK demonstrations have you seen in Washington in your career? Are you asking us to believe that this was not part of a sophisticated PR effort to tarnish the event happening in the District?
