I wouldn’t be so dismissive. Despite the voting irregularities, there were people who voted for a vegetable in 2020.

The most prominent was the County Executive position for Montgomery County - I don’t think anyone thought this community organizer who used to work for Pelosi would win, but the establishment Rats split the vote and this guy won with 40% of the vote - he has no real life work experience, and is now in charge of an 8 billion dollar budget - he pushing for universal income and lots of low cost housing.
Not sure how the ruling class that lives in Potomac is going to like this.
Oh, BTW, one news report said his followers were most POC and immigrants; the other Rats supporters were mostly rich whites.
Their sanctuary policies created the demographics for this election upset.
