Hairpin is a demonicRAT operative. Actually Halperin has a pretty good track record in his predictions. I remember the weekend of July 20, 2024 when leading into it the conventional wisdom was that Biden would NOT withdraw his candidacy to run again for president. However, Halperin stuck to his prediction that Biden would pull out that weekend... and he was RIGHT.
