This video features commentary on a report by Fareed Zakaria on CNN regarding the economic and governance challenges facing California. The creator, Black Conservative Perspective, uses this segment to argue that Democratic policies are responsible for the state's decline.
Key themes and takeaways discussed in the video:
Economic Stagnation & Costs: The video highlights that despite California's natural and economic potential, high taxation, strict regulations, and a "failing model of governance" are driving businesses and middle-class residents away (2:11 - 3:35).
Fiscal Management: Zakaria notes that while the state population has grown by roughly 15% since 2000, state spending has increased by over 200%, leading to questions about the efficiency and value provided to citizens (3:36 - 4:21).
The Housing Crisis: A central failure discussed is the lack of new housing construction, which has caused home prices and rents to skyrocket, fueling homelessness and migration out of the state (4:22 - 5:04).
Educational Underperformance: Despite significant increases in per-pupil spending, the video points out that California's test scores remain low compared to the national average, contrasting this with successes in other states like Mississippi which focused on phonics-based instruction (6:20 - 8:33).
Hollywood's Decline: The video emphasizes the struggles of the film industry in Los Angeles, noting a significant drop in production activity and jobs as work moves to other regions with more favorable costs (9:55 - 11:47).
The creator concludes by arguing that voters are increasingly restless and that the current situation in California serves as a cautionary tale for the rest of the country regarding the impact of Democratic governance (11:48 - 14:38).

Bump
Has he been fired yet?........😉😉😉😉
California is the perfect example in micro of the decay typical of a late stage one party dictatorship. All the particulars are just different aspects of bureaucratic inertia and sclerosis like that which afflicted the Brezhnev-era Soviet Union, complete with the total cynicism of an exhausted productive sector amid widespread, open corruption. The Democrats scrambled all the golden eggs and killed the golden goose.
I couldn’t imagine living in the liberal hellhole
Sometimes, you don’t have to! 😉🙂
LA County voted to raise the sales tax by 1 percent..I dont want to hear from people who say the economy sucks when people literally voted to raise their sales tax, but it could have been dead people voting who knows
dums are 100 percent responsible. They took over the state and basically removed any Republican representation by cheating and fraud.
While California’s state population was growing by 15%, I wonder what percentage of that were people collecting some kind of welfare, especially “migrants”.
Taxpayers are moving out while tax takers are moving into California
Hey, ya know to build a Marxist Utopia omelet you have to break a few eggs.
Not that the disastrous policies of the state government have no effect on us, but I live in an interior prosperous and law and order county. Unfortunately lib migration from the big cities has eliminated the Republican majority here, but Placer is still a strong plurality GOP county
Democrats here in California think they can raise taxes to fix all of their fiscal difficulties. Typical of stupid Marxists, trying to get the horse to ‘push’ the cart every time. It’s why communists always end up stealing all the money and having to kill people.
Fareed is still a slime ball. Don’t care what he admits.
HOW DO YOU HAVE NEW HOUSING CONSTRUCTION WHEN YOU CANNOT EVEN GET PERMITS TO REBUILD WHAT BASS BURNED DOWN?
socialism and community create nothing, they simply steal what capitalism created and then eventually run it into the ground since they never maintain what they stole.
