Shermichael Singelton on Dems’ Support for Graham Platner: They’ve Revealed Themselves as ‘Hypocrites,’ ‘Liars’ [CNN]
CNN via Grabien ^ | June 09, 2026 | Shermichael Singelton

EXCERPT:

SINGLETON: “You have this guy who‘s saying he‘s going to make a speech to make a con -- or draw a contrast against himself and Susan Collins. He stands up for women, she does not because she voted for Brett Kavanaugh. Yet we just had, not more than a week ago, very serious allegations against this very same guy who‘s now the defender of women?

So to me, it seems like maybe a defender of women for my Democratic friends when it‘s convenient for them.

But now that there‘s a political electoral opportunity to maintain their majority in the Senate, and Graham Platner could out-seat Susan Collins, you know what, it doesn‘t necessarily matter, the 10-plus years of arguments we‘ve made about morals and ethics against Trump and Republicans who've empowered Trump because we can win a seat. It‘s very Machiavellian in many ways. And to me, any argument that Democrats have framed against Trump, against Republicans is now null and void.

They have revealed themselves to be nothing but hypocrites, nothing but liars. And I think, as we get into the general election, you‘re going to see the case made by Susan Collins, made by the NRSC, that Democrats are not the people that they said that they are. Look at who they're supporting, the guy with the Nazi tattoo."

I’m standing on my prediction that Senator Platner is a done deal.

Check back in November.

My prediction about his victory is not an endorsement - but, saying Platner has a Nazi affinity is ridiculous. I don't know how many intoxicated servicemen on liberty have gotten a totenkopf because in that state they think it looks badass, but, let's agree that number is not zero.

He's going to win because he's not from the system, which is all anybody needs to win this Fall.

Many Democrats voted against Kavanaugh based on the false accusations made by a demented accuser. Somebody should ask Platner himself if those same “outraged” Democrats should support him.

“let’s agree that number is not zero.”

Definitely not zero, but definitely disqualifying.

“ Definitely not zero, but definitely disqualifying.”

That’s up to the voters now.

I heard a radio news sound byte yesterday of a person who voted in Maine saying “everybody has their own set of problems, I voted for him because I like what he stands for.”

That has been my own personal standard for voting ever since Bill Clinton. Don’t even think about coming at me with the “morality” or “personal character” argument anymore.

If the person is willing to advance the agenda I agree with, I don’t care who they sleep with, what they ever posted online, how they treat their employees, what they may have said to anyone in an interview, any backroom business deals that lined their pockets, etc.

I am going to vote for the right-most candidate no matter what. The whole “that’s not who we are” outlook is moot and obsolete in the face of the impending Bolshevik color revolution.

I would rather vote for queer serial fabricator George Santos who was a 100% reliable conservative in the House than someone like squeaky-clean Bible-thumping Mike (Judas) Pence.

No no no. Supporting Graham Platner isn't Democrat hypocrisy - that's being true to who they are. They're Democrat Socialists (their term), just like the National Socialist, aka Nazis.

The hypocrisy from Democrats was over the decades when they pretended they weren't Nazis.

On May 8 of this year, the youngest possible NSDAP member turned 99.

And yet, the demand for “Nazis” has never been higher.

Why is that?

Up here in southern Maine, Graham Platner is the latest in a long parade of Democrats convinced they’re finally the one who can unseat Susan Collins.

Whether you agree with Collins’ voting record or not, she has earned a reputation as kind, thoughtful, considerate, and effective. Platner, by contrast, appears to be conducting a one-man experiment in how much baggage a candidate can drag into a Senate race before even friendly voters start checking the exits.

And many Democrats are starting to notice.

The more voters learn about Captain Pud-Knocker-Porta-Potti, the more likely some would-be Democratic voters are to do one of two things: vote for Collins, or stay home in disgust.

“ IDEOLOGY AND POWER OVER ALL”

Correct. What else is the purpose of a political party? Don’t you wish you had one?
