Republican, Trump-backed candidate Steve Hilton won the second of two spots in the California Governor’s Primary race on Monday evening, nearly a week after election day.
Decision Desk called the race for Steve Hilton on Monday evening after another mail-in ballot dump favored Democrat Steyer – but it wasn’t enough to put him over the finish line.
Hilton will face off against Democrat Xavier Becerra, the former Health and Human Services Secretary for Biden.
Becerra has 27.66% to Hilton’s 25.10 %, according to Decision Desk.
Trump celebrated the win.
All eyes are on California’s primary elections as Democrat candidates surge in after election day ballot counting.
Earlier Monday, Spencer Pratt was eliminated in the Los Angeles Mayoral primary race after Communist Nithya Raman advanced following the latest mail-in ballot drop.
Raman was in last place last week after the polls closed, and she even gave a teary concession speech.
However, the Democrats kept producing mail-in ballots that favored Raman and she eventually surpassed Spencer Pratt.
President Trump has repeatedly claimed the Democrats are rigging the primary elections in California.
Recall that California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom recently said that he has a secret “break the glass” plan to prevent California from electing a Republican governor.

“Democrat candidates surge in after election day ballot counting.”
Of course. That’s what the after Election Day ballot counting was created for.
Martha Stewart would say… “That’s a Good Thing.”👍
Debates for the Governor spot will be fun.
Yes it’s a nice bone to throw before the general. Gives the Hollywood illusion of a real fight.
At least there is finally some good news from the land of milk and honey...
[I lived there for a year whilst Ronnie Raygun wuz governator and thought that the place was pretty close to a Utopia. (Gas was $0.25/gal...]
Hope I never hear about Tom Steyer again.

As an ex-Californian (two year SENTENCE while then-Hubs was in the Navy)...
I’LL TAKE IT!
Clay and Buck were talking about, ‘Trump Picks/Endorsements’ in current elections the other day and President Trump is CRUSHING it!
MAGA!
Democrats will now use this as an example of how they don’t cheat. They’re such frauds.
I hear ya in general, but didn’t Trump just come out again in support of Linda Grahmnasty?
Too much attention on the state right now to steal rig this one.
$200,000,000 for what? A fool and his money......
He’s better than Xavier Becerra.
The election is a sham to begin with.
I’m waiting for a judge’s decision to force the continuation of counting votes for another 2-3 weeks.
Yes, it was truly the Golden State. And now? Over the weekend the military practiced urban warfare tactics over the past weekend, with rooftop helicopter landings at St Luke’s Hospital in Pasadena, and similar scenes in Irvine. Why? California — lovely, sunny, environmentally correct California — will be one of the first places in the nation to run out of fuel. What do you suppose its fashionably diverse population will do then?
Don’t you see the beauty of Trump endorsing Linda? SC has an open primary. If Trump endorsed him people will vote for the other guy.
Even when I was there, in Silicon Valley, 1987 - 2000, it was great. I saw change beginning, though, and thought Maryland was a better bet.
Maryland was good, too, outside of the big cities. Even Oregon was still pretty good when I came home in 2012.
Everything started to go into the toilet in 2018, and was flushed with Biden.
Graham supports him as a Senator on the floor and Trump can count on him for his vote. I get it.
Just watch, who is going to stop the steal?
The state is terminally corrupt. The democrats have a total stranglehold on the state and most local government.
Uh, why is the ‘AP’ the decider?
