Terror-linked groups swarmed Amy Mek at ‘Sharia-Free America’ congressional hearing. CAIR, MPAC and Code Pink operatives engaged in intimidation tactics as RAIR’s founder boldly exposed Islam’s threat to the Constitution.
Terrorist-linked groups swarmed RAIR founder Amy Mek at Part II of a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing held on May 13, 2026, spearheaded by Representative Chip Roy.
The hearing, titled “Sharia-Free America: Why Political Islam & Sharia Law are Incompatible with the U.S. Constitution”, received quite a bit of attention on social media in the wake of powerful testimony by RAIR’s Amy Mek and her guest, Marco Hunter-Lopez, a 16-year-old sophomore from Wylie East High School in Texas.
Hunter-Lopez discussed a program by the Muslim Brotherhood-tied group WhyIslam, a project of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). The organization attempted to proselytize students at Wylie East with free Qurans, hijabs, and dawah (proselytism) pamphlets.

Intimidating tactics.
The “other side” believes that their “Freedom of Speech” includes intimidating their opponents, forcing people to shut up, and blocking anyone who disagrees with them.
I think such tactics should be illegal in a big way.

When being taught about Paul's ministry in the eighth grade catholic school I attended from kindergarten on I was put off by the story of his ministry from start to finish.
There was no solid reason for that rejection. I embraced the Church and all it's teachings wholeheartedly and I didn't understand where that rejection of Paul was coming from. At first I thought it was because he wasn't one of the original apostles and his history was all about hunting down Christians but that gave way to a later in life consideration that his conversion sounded like a bad movie script. Whatever the cause it faded over time, from a less than sinewy, pale shadow of a maybe type of avoidance to full fledged, if at arm's length, acceptance.
Until a recent re-read of Galatians in the KJV archaeological study bible which includes Cultural and Historical notes. In this case the Note is titled "Paul's Jewish Opponents"; the explanation that follows is based on that cultural note because many folks here might believe I'm an anti-Semite. However, perhaps I can dissuade that prejudice with the wisdom found within that commentary; for within that commentary is a clear explanation of the various attempts by those hell bent on undermining Paul's message which I think might help them understand the significance of a stand alone Christian identity and support the 'delinkation' of Judea from Christian.
An example of that which Paul found discomfiting that still lingers to this day is the proselytizing linkage of Judaism and Christianity; Paul said Gentiles had no need to embrace the ways of Judaism ( ex. circumcision or avoiding non-kosher foods ).
To Paul, proselytizing Christians were an alarming factor because it undercut the core message of the gospel and if salvation could not be attained without embracing Judaism then the death of Christ was insufficient.
Paul's argument against proselytizing also led a Protestant view of the Jewish opposition as 'legalists' who believed that salvation is not received by grace through faith but must be earned by good works which blocked an authentic and personal knowledge of God.
