Word of the Iran Peace Deal So Far
Independent Sentinel ^ | May 23, 2026 | M Dowling

Posted on 05/23/2026 9:20:44 PM PDT by Red Badger

President Trump held a powerhouse call with key Middle Eastern leaders on Iran — and it’s a game-changer, according to Fox News. Tonight, Trump is briefing Netanyahu on the details.

It is peace through strength.

President Trump confirmed that a peace deal with Iran has been “largely negotiated,” and he expects it to be announced shortly.

Reports of the Iran Deal via Eli David:

* Strait of Hormuz will fully reopen

* Iran will not charge transit fees

* US won’t pay any money to Iran

* Sanction relief on Iranian oil

* Lebanon is part of the ceasefire

* 60 days to negotiate nuclear issues

Some of the right people are upset, which gives me hope.

Lindsey Graham is upset.

Mark Levin is enraged at reports that Netanyahu has been “sidelined” in the deal with Iran. The NYT has reported that Netanyahu is fuming, with Trump claiming Netanyahu would do “anything” Trump told him to.

Levin specifically sees it as a direct slight against Israel, which US defense officials claimed would’ve been screwed without US support, as the US seeks peace on its own terms. Envoy Witkoff, in an unusual break, is reported to be pushing Trump for peace immediately.

The New York Times reports that Netanyahu is enraged, but he needn’t be. The U.S. did a lot for Israel, and we will be there if needed again.

Trump has always done it more for the UAE, than for Israel. It just so happens that Israel’s interests are somewhat aligned.

One would think that the Arab nations and Israel would all be aligned against Iran as a show of force to keep them in check...................

As the Bible predicted Iran will not be destroyed by the USA or Trump, but by the hand of God to protect Israel.

So after 50 years of Iran hoodwinking the world, somehow President Trump
thinks after 60 days the leopard will change its spots and turn over its nukes?

Good God, President Trump. You are losing it. No wonder Bibi is pissed off.

Iran will not be destroyed, their army will, on the Plain of Megiddo, along with all the other nations’ armies that will invade..................

I don’t understand what there is to negotiate with the nuclear material. It’s either give it up or not. That should be what the deal begins with. I know his Trump and his people are smarter than I am, so what gives?

Bottom line: Iran keeps on building its nukes...

A 60-day so-called negotiation period is a U.S. surrender...

Shades of 1952 in Korea... Talk...Talk...Talk...Threaten...Lose...

One thing for sure Trump has learned the old Washington DC Two Step and cannot be trusted any more. I personally relayed that same message to his Truth Social account.

I'm all for a peace deal if a deal can be reached that makes sense.

This is not a deal, it's opening the Strait of Hormuz temporarily to allow the flow of shipping traffic.

Iran is looking to stall the negotiations and build pressure against renewed military action. This plays heavily in Iran's favor as it is difficult for the US to keep its forces in the field.

Iran is never going to give up terrorism or the development of nuclear weapons. In fact, it is very possible that Iran will demonstrate a nuclear capability in the near future to give it the same position as it's development partner, North Korea

Plus, a large fraction of Iran's missile infrastructure is still in existence.

This could turn into a very bad deal for everyone but Iran.

Name one treaty Iran has signed since 1977 that it has honored. Now is NOT the time to turn off the pressure.

Hear that sound? It is a can being kicked down the road with someone’s manhood rattling around in it.

All that effort and lives lost for so little or nothing.

Yeah. The leader of the UAE has made six visits to the White House since Trump was re-elected.

Oh wait. He has only visited once ever, and that was during Biden's presidency.

I'm confusing him with this guy:

Gotta admit, neocons quit yapping about regime change in North Korea after they got nukes.

Ezekiel 38 is not Armageddon IMHO

They are two different wars

The entire world’s armies gather for Armageddon

Ezekiel 38 is pretty much regional from Africa to Israel including Iran and north of Israel

Trump always asks for an outrageous amount before he settles on the actual deal. This could be something temporary so that gas prices can become cheap again. With the Democrats in Congress doing everything in their power to make America lose this war the President has to keep them from getting power in November. A tough task because historically the party out of power gains seats in a President’s mid term election.

Now is NOT the time to turn off the pressure.

The pressure Iran should feel is the over-pressure made by exploding large bombs
