Graham Platner, a man with a Nazi tattoo and current Democrat candidate for the US Senate in Maine, vows "if Democrats win a majority we will shut the White House down with incessant hearings requiring the presence and testimony of every person working for Trump. They won't have any time to do what Trump wants them to do. This November election is our opportunity to seize power and wield it to bring the benefits of collectivism to the people who are oppressed and deprived under capitalism."
Platner has been endorsed by Sens. Bernie Sanders (Vt), Elizabeth Warren (Mass), Ruben Gallego (Az), Martin Heinrich (NM), and now the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).
Sanders said "Platner has the revolutionary fervor that Marx hoped to instill in the masses to overthrow the market economy and replace it with a socialist system where the government will make all the important decisions about what products to produce, who will be required to work, and who will receive what share of the output. I know that capitalists mock the bread lines, shortages, and gulags that such a system inflicts on common people, but I have been to the Soviet Union when it still practiced true socialism and can attest to the widespread satisfaction I saw and heard while I was there. Prices were affordable and the hours spent waiting in line to buy food helped folks get acquainted with their neighbors."
Incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins called Platner "a candidate that is so far out of the mainstream that it is hard for me to understand why any self-respecting American would vote for him. Not only does he have that Nazi SS tattoo, he has also asserted that rape victims need to take accountability for being raped, that he was a communist when he was 34, and that white people living in Maine are stupid. I doubt that the voters of Maine would want such a person to represent them in the US Senate."

The 1st Congressional District.....Southern Maine, 20% of Maine’s land mass, is close to Massachusetts. I’ve heard people here in Maine call that area “North Massachusetts.” That district will vote for the candidate with a “D” after their name come hell or high water.
The 2nd Congressional District.....Northern and Western Maine, 80% of the state....is mostly rural, and away from the coast it is redder than Santa Claus’s suit. President Trump carried this district by double digits in 2016, 2020 and 2024. Candidate Donald Trump and his family members spent a huge amount of time here during the 2016 campaign.
I’ve seen endless anti-Collins ads on Pluto TV. Whether I’m watching America’s Voice, Twilight Zone, Star Trek The Next Generation, or even I Love Lucy there are nonstop anti-Collins ads, all in black-and-white.
This Platner loon has a huge amount of money behind him.
I saw his campaign offices start to open last year in former stores. I can’t imagine this communist psycho being elected.

Collins voted to convict Trump over the “perfect phone call” to Ukraine.....in other words, nothing. She also voted against Pete Hegseth for Secretary of War.
In Trump’s first term, she voted for most of Trump’s judicial picks, including Kavanaugh. She also voted for Trump’s tax cuts. A dem would have been a hard NO on all of the above.

I have no use for Collins, either; she certainly is a RINO.
However, it’s a numbers game in the Senate; the GOP needs to keep control of that chamber in order to maintain the chairmanship of the various Senate committees. That being said, Thune needs to be tossed as Senate majority leader in favor of someone like Sen. Mike Lee. In order to have an effective senate we need a MAGA Senate majority leader.
The Republicans would currently have more than 53 senators if it weren’t for Mitch McConnell’s refusal to send money to MAGA senate candidates during the 2024 election cycle.
