The rise of the United States as the world’s foremost economic and moral force in the 20th century was largely marked by the defeat of Nazi Germany, made possible thanks to the monumental sacrifice of the country’s greatest generation. In the decades that followed, the term “Nazi” remained so loaded with historical significance that, for the longest time, to be called a Nazi was the ultimate insult.
Thanks to some members of the Democratic Party, however, that is no longer the case.
In Maine, Gov. Janet Mills (D) announced on Thursday that she would be withdrawing from her state’s U.S. Senate race, with one Democrat emerging as the sole candidate to face the incumbent Sen. Susan Collins: Graham Platner.
If you haven’t heard of Platner, his political highlights include promoting social media posts from neo-Nazi Holocaust deniers, hob-nobbing with antisemitic podcast hosts, and praising the Islamist terrorist group, Hamas.
And, most notably, Platner sported a Nazi tattoo — the infamous “Totenkopf,” or “death’s head,” of the Nazi SS death squads — for nearly 20 years and covered it up only when he faced criticism for adorning himself with the logo of one of history’s most brutal groups of mass murderers.
“It was not until I started hearing from reporters and DC insiders that I realized this tattoo resembled a Nazi symbol,” Platner attempted to explain when people noticed his tattoo. “I absolutely would not have gone through life having this on my chest if I knew that — and to insinuate that I did is disgusting.”

What else would traitorous Demonicrats be expected to do?!?
A fake “veteran” Nazi. Let’s see you “papers” Mr. Nazi. Got a DD214? Do you know what one is?
Democrats are Nazi.
Platner is a done deal.
And everyone here who has droned on and on about getting rid of Collins owns some of it.
To paraphrase woopsee, “he’s not a ‘naughtzee’ ‘nazi’”.
Crazy
Maine what a pretty state
Agreed.
NYC voted for an Islamist to be their Mayor 25 years after 9/11.
A Nazi running for Senate in Maine? I think it'll just motivate the voters to show up on Election Day.
Republicans are gonna kick Susan Collins to the curb because God forbid she doesn’t do 100% vote. Quite frankly, I could care less because she adds to the majority which gives us committee leadership which I think is even more important but we have some stupid dumb Republicans in this country.
Well, they guess its OK because he’s a communist, too.
History of the Deaths Head.
German and otherwise. Ya know. Before Goodwins Law kicks in completely…
The death’s head (Totenkopf in German) is a historically persistent symbol of a human skull, often with crossbones, representing mortality, memento mori (”remember you must die”), and later, rebellion or elite military status. Used for centuries, it shifted from 17th-century Puritan gravestone symbols to military insignia.Key Historical Developments:17th–18th Century Puritanism: Known as “death’s heads,” winged skulls were carved on New England gravestones, symbolizing the brevity of life and the soul’s ascent to heaven.Military Usage: The Prussian army (18th–19th centuries) and the “Black Brunswickers” used the symbol to indicate that they would either win or die.Nazi Germany (SS): The SS adopted a specific Totenkopf insignia for the 3rd SS Panzer Division and concentration camp guards (SS-Totenkopfverbände), linking it to extreme brutality and war crimes during World War II.Modern Usage: It continues to be used in military units, but has also been adopted as a symbol for pirates, death, poison, and by Neo-Nazis, say.Key Contextual Changes:Puritan Era: Emphasized the “soul’s flight” and strict spiritual reflection, often depicted with bat-like wings.18th Century: Often morphed into a “winged cherub,” signifying a shift towards a more compassionate view of the afterlife.Military Usage: The symbol often represented defiance of death, particularly in elite units.Note: The particular skull and crossbones image used by the SS is widely regarded as a hate symbol today.
We're talking about the party of slavery, the ku klux klan, the Trail of Tears, infanticide, election fraud, open borders, et al. Why wouldn't it support nazis?
I’ll bet if you stripped President Trump nude, and searched every square inch of his skin, you would NOT SEE a Nazi tattoo.
Really? Your giving the Democrats a hard time for voting for a NAZI?
Honestly, what’s the difference between socialists democrats and democratic socialists. They were responsible for most of the wars and deaths over the last century. They treated individual citizens with equal contempt. They ignored basic God given rights to citizens. Both groups can’t be ‘voted out’, they have to be violently removed from power.
IMHO, they call themselves different names: NAZI, Antifa, Facists, Communists, No Kings, BLM, ‘National Congress of Something’, Ect Ect Ect, but the ALL ACT THE SAME and they all PROMISE utopia and deliver hell.
Not enough attention is paid to the fact that the Japanese considered themselves a superior race. They murdered as much as the Nazis. They slaughtered 50 million Chinese and south east Asians. Why don’t the Dems slam Trump and Republicans as Hirohito? Because no one knows much about the Pacific war beyond Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima. There is a very good documentary streaming on WW II that covers the war from Japan’s point of view.
The full name of the Nazi Party was
Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
or
National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
It was a Leftist political party then and works well with the Dem Party of today.
Just look at George Soros.
Robert Byrd was a KKK member and Democrats voted for him repeatedly, when he died, they lauded him as a great American, why should they be surprised they are now voting for a Nazi.
For an excellent docu-drama of the war in the pacific—on the ground, is the series, Pacific based upon the books from several Marines,
For an audio book I recommend the Trilogy by Ian Toll. Excellent writing and very good narration. Frankly it is worth the nearly 100 bucks. I have listened to it several times times. I would have it play through my iphone as I go to bed, placing it on a timer. So obviously I would miss stuff. Hence the repeating.
But Ian Toll’s Trilogy in my opinion is one of the statements of the war from the viewpoint of the Navy for the most part. Pacific, (HBO) is a definitive statement from the ground. All battles were horrific, but Guadacanal and Okinawa were brutal.
It was deemed convenient somehow, to accept the absurd idea that Hirohito, the living god in Japanese minds, wasn't in charge of anything, had no say, and knew nothing about what the army and navy were doing. (Except of course for his own lively interest in biological weapons.)
Just a figurehead, a puppet of the top brass. That he had the clout to order anyone at all to commit ritual suicide, with no doubt whatsoever they'd obey, has nothing to do with anything. An innocent, oblivious lamb was he.
