Curious as to what concerns (if any) y'all have regarding AI...
My biggest concern is that its adoption could accelerate the trend of teaching young people what to think rather than how to think.
This inherently breeds laziness and obedience.

Yes that’s one thing. I’m more worried about the short-term job loss. The young people in my family are having a difficult time in their fields. It’s painful to watch. It pisses me off to know that the only people that are really excited about AI are the people that are creating it or the people that have invested heavily in it. The major majority of humans probably 99% of people on the planet, wish it would go away.
Leftists programming it to lie to us.
Leftists programming it to lie to us.
After “COVID”, I don’t think blind obedience is anything new, not just for young people, but for at least 75% of the stupid, ignorant, servile population. AI could tell them that the sky is yellow, and they’d go along with it without question.
That it will dull human intellect, progress, and spirit. It seems to represent the pinnacle of our achievement as a species to far too many people.
Dittos
That it won’t have the same ethics/morals that I do and I won’t be able to detect it on incoming messages.
As an owner of a small CPA firm, my main concern is that we adopt the new technology at a pace that is not too fast or too slow, that we understand and practice good controls over reliance without verification, and that we do not get too married to one AI until the competition shakes things out.
As a grandparent, that my children teach their children how to catch errors in results and how to draft good prompts, understand what assumptions AI is using for its answer, the guardrails it uses that cause bias, and how to draft good follow up prompts.
AI tends to inculcate BS “science” as established “fact.” Its speed in generating citations makes debate with it troublesome. Its rhetorical weakness is that it tends to use unqualified phrases like, “there is no evidence of” which places it at serious argumentative disadvantage, as it is usually easy to find exceptions to the rule, after which it is then easier to displace the underlying false premises.
I’ve done it many times, but it’s a hassle, albeit the process does sharpen my arguments.
That AI will be used to take down the Internet.
Imagine all the Indian programmers forced to find other work.
It’s sole purpose is digitizing the entire existence of every individual. They recognize no limits to what they can collect and store. And they believe they should be able to fully direct your life. They SAY they want to watch your every move, catalogue your every thought, search, movement, what you say, what you eat, the source and disposal of every dollar you have... to program that money to lock you out of when and what they please.
AI is meant to analyze everything. It has no relevance or usefulness to anybody except the central planners.
Any “benefit” to normal people is offered as an afterthought, like it might let you know the milk you bought a week ago is expiring or something.
It’s solely intended to deepen the enshitification of American life, and reduce your freedom by increasing the power of the central planners over you.
Who Fact Checks AI ?
Well, its already convinced people to kill and commit suicide so there’s that small concern. 🤷♂️
Being lied to.
AI and robot tech will make a huge leisure class of people with no work, no work ethic, no purpose.
They will be like welfare queens and trust-fund babies. They will be the majority, they will be easily led by socialists, and they will vote.
Uh, wrong a lot of the time. I prefer NI. Machines don’t care. My decisions, I own.
another reason why the midterms could be a mess for our side...
