Joe diGenova, a former Trump campaign lawyer who backed President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, will head up a Florida-based federal investigation into former federal officials who investigated Trump, a Justice Department official confirmed to NBC News on Saturday.
DiGenova, 81, who was U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia during the Reagan era, will lead a sprawling investigation targeting Trump's enemies, reaching all the way back to a previous Justice Department inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Would love to eavesdrop on some over dinner conversations between Joe and his wife, Victoria.
I hope they trace the coup attempt all the way back to its beginnings: John Brennan’s lawless actions to install an ineligible, usurping Obama - in league with the communist-Islamist cabal stealing our elections, as uncovered by former CIA superstar Gary Berntsten and his 12 Venezuelan engineers who actually helped do the thefts.
That cabal was Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia, Serbia, & Iran. America’s enemies. And Brennan and his Deep State players at all levels of government (including Hawaii at all levels) were working right alongside of them.
That makes it treason.
There is no statute of limitations on conspiracy, unless the cover-up of the conspiracy ends at some point.
The fact that the FBI will need a year just to sort out the 2 million documents that were hidden in burn bags means the SOL on conspiracy won’t even BEGIN to start ticking until after that.

Also take note that if there is a way to make a case Joe’s the man to do it. I would have loved to see him be the AG. They are all DOJ neophytes next to Joe. I would love to be there when he walks into the South Florida prosecutors office this morning. Trump fired the guy who was in charge this weekend.

Let me just say there is nothing like having been targeted or prosecuted by a corrupt regime to put fire in your belly for revenge. Both Joe and Victoria will work this case, you can count on it.

I couldn’t agree more. The corruption in DC always came across like a joke. I take it much more seriously now. It seems to me that most of DC, both sides, is totally corrupt. Not sure if it’s always been that way and I just now see it, or if it’s an evolution. Either way, it’s really discouraging.
Unlike the Biden regime, Trump’s targets won’t be charged with violations of non-crimes, forced to rebut manufactured evidence, and they won’t be tried by biased courts and juries.

Gotta love that NBC spin. Merrick Garland was much more of a bitter, partisan hack on a witch hunt against Trump and conservatives. But NBC lionized him as an evenhanded prosecutor.
