I thought Enya was the lead singer.
Good group and music and Enya was a part of it.
Wow, this one hits. I was a big fan of Enya’s work, and Clannad by association.
???
Enya “Orinoco Flow” is her younger sister.
I thought they were sisters. That clarifies it.
I always liked Irish folk music.
Thanks all.
I take it this is in Ireland somewhere...
Soon to be renamed to New Somalia.
County Donegal is the northernmost county of the Republic of Ireland—one of the counties of Ulster but not included in Northern Ireland because its population is mostly Catholic.
Very sad. I still listen to Misty Eyed Adventures all the time.
She was Enya’s sister. Unlike Enya, she had no new age inclinations; she was a devout Catholic and much of her music reflected her love of Christ.
She was an environmentalist but not crazy so. Her most dramatic song is Heroes, having to live with poor environmental decisions. It’s available on YouTube.
I will miss her.
This duet with Shane McGowan is one of my favorites; two Irish greats now gone. People love or hate McGowan’s voice, but IMHO he was one of the greatest Irish poet/lyricists since WB Yeats. Brennan’s sweet voice contrasting w/ the rough texture of McGowan’s give this song a near perfect balance of the feminine and masculine.

Thank you. They must speak a language I know nothing about...
Yep, McGowan’s voice is an acquired taste, much like Tom Waits.
