The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has just dealt a crushing blow to open-borders activists.
The full Fifth Circuit REFUSED to grant en banc rehearing in the critical case Buenrostro-Mendez v. Bondi, locking in its earlier February 2026 panel ruling that upholds the Trump administration’s full authority to detain illegal aliens without bond hearings while their deportation proceedings move forward.

Even long-term illegal residents who snuck in years ago get no automatic bond hearings to waltz back into American communities.
This victory comes on the heels of similar wins, including the Eighth Circuit’s recent ruling siding with the Trump administration on detention without bond.

Would be great news, except Trump has all but given up on deportations and Republicans in congress are pushing amnesty.
About 50 million illegals. I hope he manages to remove a Big chunk or else it’s not worth it. The next president will just open the border again.

Its because the 5th Circuit followed the US Code. It spells out all the “due process” protections that illegals are entitled to. The U.S. Code was blatantly ignored by Boasberg and all the other unethical activist federal “judges”.

Lesson learned: Good intentions are not a substitute for smart strategy and tactics.
In MN the headline was Welfare Fraud, Political Corruption, Immigration Fraud.
Trained activist Renee Good intentionally changed those headlines to MOM OF 3 SHOT BY ICE. The other side had smart strategy/tactics.
Bovino, initially in charge of the BP/ICE in MN had STUPID strategy and tactics. The protestors baited ICE and ICE changed the headline.
The same is true in Iran and immigration and every “war” we are in. We cannot just act with our emotions. We need to act with smart strategy and tactics. A good example is Iran. Iran has produced LEGO cartoon stories of the war that ridicule Trump and are very effective. They are big on US internet and forming US voter opinion of the war.
