Did the half-wit working the register hear that answer and think, “Oh, well that sounds perfectly hunky-dory. Happy Ramadan, Mr. Ghazali! Enjoy your two grand worth of explosives”?

The Michigan synagogue attacker bought $2000 worth of fireworks at Phantom Fireworks in Michigan @CBSNews has learned. The company’s CEO tells me Ayman Ghazali was asked what it was for because it’s an unusual time of year to buy so many fireworks. He told the store it was for the end of Ramadan.

“why do they sell fireworks all times of the year?”

Back when Colorado was a free state, (late 50’s) I would ride my bike miles to Rocky mountain Fireworks and buy all the M-80s and Cherry bombs i could afford. All year long other than winter.

Then spend a happy afternoon or two blowing up anthills and such.

Why the hell not?

yeah, 2 grand worth of fireworks nowadays ...

Kinda like ‘a huge cache of ammo was found!’ ... all 1,000 rounds.

2K in fireworks.....that’s like 4 Big Macs.

Let’s ban 2K of drugs first.

Because some people love to waste money making pretty flashes ,loud noises and smoke.

And many fireworks are made in China.

But like the other poster says drug abuse is a much bigger problem.

The underlying issue is too many people live for instant gratification.
