Colorado Gun Control Bills Target Homemade Firearms and Barrel Sales

The Colorado legislature is moving quickly to pass bills that would prevent people from making their own firearms without government permission. Two bills appear likely to become law. The two bills are expected to be signed by Governor Jared Polis. House Bill 1144 has passed the House 40 – 25 on a party-line vote and was introduced in the Senate yesterday. Senate Bill 43 passed the Senate 19-16, with four Democratic senators joining 12 Republican senators to vote against it.

House Bill 1144 prohibits the manufacture of firearms by “3D printing”, except for people licensed by the government:

Knowingly manufacturing or producing a firearm, unfinished frame or receiver, large-capacity magazine, or rapid-fire device (firearm or firearm component) by 3-dimensional printing. The prohibition does not apply to a federally licensed firearm manufacturer , an instructor or student of an accredited gunsmithing program, or an institution that operates an accredited gunsmithing program. Unlawful three-dimensional printing of a firearm or firearm component is a class 1 misdemeanor; except that a second or subsequent offense is a class 5 felony.

House Bill 1144 defines 3D printing broadly, to mean both additive and subtractive manufacturing.  The bill also makes it illegal for most people to offer or sell digital instructions in a rather broad and vague way:

Knowingly offering to sell or distributing digital instructions that may be used for an activity that constitutes a violation of specified existing state law concerning unlawful conduct involving an unserialized firearm, frame, or receiver.

Senate Bill 43  requires firearm barrels to be sold or transferred by a federally licensed dealer in person. From legiscan.com, a summary of the bill:

The bill requires a firearm barrel to be sold or transferred in person by a federally licensed firearm dealer.

This is so they can arrest people, thus make them felons who are restricted from owning a gun. In other words stealth gun control. The left is like The Terminator. You can’t kill them and they’ll never stop.

To the extent you can, boycott Colorado. It’s a crazy place and should not be encouraged.

Just a little bit of infringement. Tiny bit. Barely noticeable.

Pretty much slam dunks this attempt, but forces yet another trip to the SC.

One of the most lovely, beautiful, and inspiring things about President Trump is the way he circumnavigates, ignores, and when necessary blasts right through the wokies.

They are no match for him. Delusion is no match for Truth.

One of the jolliest and most rewarding events of the 21st century is watching the wokies smolder in his wake like Wile E. Coyote bombed by the Roadrunner.

Fifty years ago, when I lived in and near Colorado, the most popular bumper sticker was...
“DON’T CALIFORNICATE COLORADO!”
Well, it has been and bad. Now they are moving in on New Mexico. 50 years ago it’s school and jobs were great. Now it ranks at the bottom surpassing Arkan-saw and Mississippi in the race to be the worst.

How did Colorado transform itself from a beautiful conservative western state to a pot smoking libtard ghetto?

My sons called them Trustafarians when they took over the ski slopes. Rich kids who never earned a dime, didn’t tip, who disdained the locals, except as help, and drove up prices by calling an area trendy on their iphones. Must use an iphone.

—————
The same way New Jersey became a liberal cesspool when a bunch of New Yorkers moved there in the 70s and 80s. Liberal Democrats are like locusts - they destroy one area, stripping it of all of its wealth and resources, and then they mindlessly move on to the next one. They bring their voting patterns with them, having utterly failed to learn the lesson that their idiocy produced in the first place. I can attest to that personally, as my aunt and uncle left Staten Island in New York City, because they didn’t want my cousin going to New York City high schools that their favorite mayor, John Lindsay, had destroyedand they moved to New Jersey…where they continued to vote for exactly the same kind of politicians. Multiply that by several hundred thousand people, aided by the teachers unions that have never learned anything at all about preserving the very civilization that allows them to be so mindlessly and naively liberal and still survive, and you have a recipe for turning a perfectly good state into a Leftist shit hole.

Don’t blame the phone, it didn’t turn them into liberal assholes, that had occurred decades before. I am writing this on an iPhone, and I not only voted for Trump three times (six if you include primaries), but I actually do leave tips and I am a nightmare to everyone who is a liberal or a leftist in my extended family.

Here, Here on an iphone as well as a macbook. Years ago I was in the market for a computer laptop for business as well as pleasure and asked my sister who would know. She said I should go Apple because it fits my smooth brain or something like that! No, she said it is intuitive and since I do a lot of artistic type work, it should be just fine.

Years later I got some windows products for ham radio and my gosh...what a clunky operating system. XP was clunky, but ensuing upgrades were and are even worse...always makes me want to throw that device across the room.

For me, Apple products work. Other’s mileage may vary...and thats why we have choice in this country. Huzzah!

Years back, before the communists overran and took control of the state, we used to vacation in the Durango area every year. There was even a point where we entertained the thought of maybe moving there permanently. However, after our last visit and seeing how fast the degradation was taking place, that killed that idea dead in its tracks. Thank goodness, we didn’t do it and haven’t been back since.

The school district I worked for used XP for decades - even though it was long obsolete. One of our computer guys told me there was a special division just to keep our old XP up and running. Behind the times, as always.

Switched personally to Apple products 20 years ago and will never looked back, so much less clunky to use.. Brought my own Apple laptop with me to school b/c it was so much easier for me to use, even though the school provided me with a (very outdated) laptop that ran...XP.

That changed when the idiot superintendent bought $1 billion worth of iPads - that were outdated by the time we got them, the “educational” software was never installed, even though it was paid for. A lot of the iPads disappeared immediately, others were locked into closets and never used, b/c “us” teachers weren’t sure how to use them - and why - and the admin was terrified of them disappearing.

I would never commend anyone go to cncguns dot com and download all the freely available files. Nor would I ever recommend people use a vpn and search for “gun plans dxf 3d models” and download other freely available plans. The government is here to protect you. And if it illegal, criminals would never have illegal guns.
