Today is my favorite day of the year.
For tonight we gain an extra hour of daylight!
In Boston for example, the sun sets at 5:44pm tonight.
But tomorrow night, that same sun sets at 6:45pm!
The result of this phenomenon is that the snow will be melted off the roofs within 48 hours! Within a week, the snow will be melted entirely.
Chickens will be laying more eggs and the crops will begin to grow.
Hail Daylight Savings time and welcome spring!

Don’t like the extra hour of sun. Burns my grass.
Jump a half hour and leave it.
My daughter when younger just HATED going onto DST, she missed her sleep!!
I like that mental push towards nicer weather...:)
Can't wait to be able to go back out in my hammock again!
We are picking up about 17 minutes of daylight a week now, but we are just shifting the morning light to the night with the time change. Snow will melt at the same rate.
OP was being sarcastic.
You lose an hour and daylight doesn’t change today. What a dumbass.
DST starts too early and ends too late.
I don’t like it because of having to set all the clocks twice a year. Pain in the rear & solves no problems that I can tell. There are still 24 hrs. in a day. Sun comes up early in the summertime anyway.
My fave time of year, too.
Daylight saving time.
Proof that idiots are in charge .
Also proof COVID wasn’t needed to demonstrate most people will quietly endure tryrany of idiots.
How many clocks do you have that have to be reset? I think I’m down to the wife’s 2006 MY sports car.
I really don’t care what time it is. But all in favor of eggs.
This girl will lay the best, “pasture raised”, because she’s free to eat bugs and worms and lizards and other tasty protein sources.
9 resets
We should go to permanent daylight savings horse. Standard time was only about.5 months or less this time.
Don’t forget to lose an hour of sleep tonight.
Who’s old enough to remember sweet old song:
“I didn’t know what time it was,
Then I met you.
Oh, what a lovely time it was,
How sublime it was too......”
Still a romantic at 89, 90 in June. Which no one believes cuz I’m so healthy. Slim too.
I like the evening sunlight as well but i will sleep in later. The sunlight really doesn’t change more than, i think, 3 minutes a day. We are just adding darkness to the morning to gain light in the evening. If the sun changed an hour during the equinox i would be worried.
President Trump phased out the penny, now it’s time to nuke daylight savings time changes ...
