Paramount/Warner Bros is not a done deal.
These two Hollywood titans have not cleared regulatory scrutiny — the California Department of Justice has an open investigation, and we intend to be vigorous in our review.

California does not want CNN to fall into the hands of conservatives.
We’ll know which is the worst possible option (e.g., the most inept, woke, repulsive, unreasonable, and just plain-assed stupid will be after a California collection of Democridiots “analyzes” things.
Hopefully, the productive CA folks will exit soon, so we can let the “Big One” take care of all the losers left.
The AG from hell chimes in.....
There’s already been way too much media consolidation.
“Hey, you look like a successful business. We will destroy you. This ... is ... California!!!!”
Ellison should sue him like Exxon. Make this clown spend all his time defending himself.
The left is so desperate to hang on to their Pravda outfits.
Agreed.
Compared to when?
I'd say that we've had a long period of massive media over-expansion, with a much greater number of media companies than we every had in the past. Now, financial realities are forcing a lot of those media companies to either consolidate, or just go out of business because they are not financially viable on their own.
It's a market correction.
“Paramount/Warner Bros is not a done deal”
IOW - The check hasn’t cleared yet.
Unfortunatelly nothing will happen except for California spending more money it doesn’t have.
That means more taxes for people like me.
Jobs are going to exit the state no matter what happened to Warner Bros. becuase it is cheaper to do business elsewhere.
Democrats only run the show because of illegals, we need to deport every latino we see
I’m not a lawyer, but I thought mergers were only reviewable at the Federal level, not the State level.
Little judges, states, and Democrats all outrank the Federal Government. Bow before your masters.
As both Paramount and Netflix operate worldwide, I don’t understand why California has jurisdiction.
Just reform the company in Texas.
Or California can kick out the leftist illegals into states like texas
Paramount and Warner’s both are incorporated in CA. Maybe they should change that to another state.
On the contrary. The emergence of Social media has made the media less concentrated.
When I was born we had Mutual, ABC, NBC, CBS. Then PBS emerged and FOX replaced Mutual. Now we have thousands of worldwide voices on politics, religion, sports, entertainment and total nonsense.
