This just in. And boy, am I glad that I didn't report on all of the rumors and speculation at the time of the early return of the Crew 11 astronauts. We just got word of which astronaut had the medical emergency at the ISS.

As we mentioned before, obviously this, you know, this was a serious medical condition. Uh, that is why we're pursuing this path. Uh, the crew member is stable. As we mentioned, we're not electing an emergency deorbit, but obviously, as we've already communicated, the capability to diagnose and treat this properly does not live on the International Space Station, and I think there's pretty broad agreement across our experts here on the ground as well as the crew members in space. So, I think there's complete alignment around that point.

And if you were chronically online at this time, you might be surprised who was affected. So NASA just dropped a SpaceX Crew 11 astronaut update, and I'll read it for you verbatim. It's not that much. Quote, "NASA is sharing the following information. At the request of NASA astronaut Mike Frink, on January 7th, while aboard the International Space Station, I experienced a medical event that required immediate attention from my incredible crew mates. Thanks to their quick response and the guidance of our NASA flight surgeons, my status quickly stabilized. After further evaluation, NASA determined the safest course was an early return for Crew 11. Not an emergency, but a carefully coordinated plan to be able to take advantage of advanced medical imaging not available on the space station. On January 15th, we splashed down off the coast of San Diego after an amazing 5 and a half month mission. I'm deeply grateful to my fellow Expedition 74 members Zena Cardman, Kima Yui, Oleg Platininov, Chris Williams, Sergey Cud Verchave, and Sergey Mikv, as well as the entire NASA team, SpaceX, and the medical professionals at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, near San Diego. Their professionalism and dedication ensured a positive outcome. I'm doing very well and continuing standard post-flight reconditioning at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. Space flight is an incredible privilege and sometimes it reminds us just how human we are. Thank you for all your support."

And so we still don't exactly know what happened, but now we know it was Mike who had the medical event, uh, not Zena, which many, many, many people were speculating at the time. And many of the rumors went even further to conjure up some pretty fantastical things. And so I've also scoured a few news articles. Basically, that is seemingly all the information that we have at this time about what exactly happened, which isn't much, but at least we know the identity of the astronaut who suffered that medical event. But this was a rare and unprecedented decision to cut a mission short and bring the entire crew home early. In fact, it was the first evacuation due to a medical issue in the International Space Station's 25-year history.

NASA astronauts and our teams in mission control are professionals who train for every possible scenario at every step of the mission, including moments just like this. So, it's interesting that they've been home for over a month now and just now he apparently requested to share this information, and so I'm glad that we have this information. He is 58 years old and he has logged nine spacewalks totaling 48 hours and 37 minutes of EVA time, and he's actually fourth among the NASA astronauts who have spent the most time in space with 549 days. So anyway, I just wanted to update you. If I'm able to find out more or perhaps even interview him myself, I will try to do that. But there, the mystery is solved.

And you know, like I said, I don't want to talk about the rumors too much, but boy, did I see a lot of posts that were basically saying that they knew exactly what the situation was and that Mike wasn't the one affected. And well, they were wrong, which is why we don't report on rumors. Just don't do it.
SLS Rollback
And so the other thing that I will talk about today is the fact that SLS has begun its rollback, currently happening as of this recording. Uh, it was supposed to happen on Tuesday. Right now it's Wednesday, February 25th. And it didn't happen because of the weather. And so people were talking about on X, there was a delayed rollback of the delayed launch because of another delay. Um, and so it looks like that is finally happening. Of course, this is something that takes many, many hours. So this is going to take a while before it is finally back in the Vehicle Assembly Building and can be looked at. And hopefully, they're able to fix that helium leak, not hydrogen this time, that helium leak. Uh, hopefully quickly.

Now remember, this rollback will take about 12 hours. Um, and so if you're watching this video when I'm just releasing it, you can probably still watch it right now, but remember it's just kind of slow. And so I'm literally googling this today and the AI overview says that the launch is no earlier than March 6th. So, even AI can't keep up with how many changes there have been. This is now outdated information. Uh, March is completely off the table and it will be no earlier than April. And it sounds like a joke, but the launch opportunities begin April 1st, so let's hope it's not an April Fool's prank.
Starship Flight 12
And I also wanted to clue you into something else that's pretty exciting, but also contradicts what Elon Musk recently said on X. He posted recently that Starship Flight 12 will be in four weeks, which of course would be sometime in March. But people are sharing this application, which would note another date and something else that's really exciting. So it looks like perhaps the earliest we could actually see Starship Flight 12, the debut of the next generation Starship V3, would be on April 7th. How interesting would that be if Artemis and Starship are back to back?

So, not only does it look like internally that they're targeting April 7th, but it looks like they are asking for permission to put some cameras on the actual Starlink dummies for the next Starship flight. It says, "Please explain the purpose of operation to launch and operate space stations on mass simulators for upcoming Starship Superheavy test flights. To further test the payload deployment mechanism of the Starship vehicle, SpaceX seeks special temporary authority to launch and operate space stations on mass simulators for upcoming Starship Superheavy test flights and use these space stations to communicate with SpaceX's satellite constellation and Earth station network for a short duration as those simulators re-enter and demise. SpaceX expects the mass simulators to demise within 90 minutes of deployment. These suborbital test flights will originate at Starbase, Texas, and are expected to reach peak altitudes of up to 350 kilometers. And so that will be very exciting if we are able to have cameras on the Starlink dummies. Let's hope that it's approved.
Outro
So there's a short update for you. I'm back from Denver and editing many videos from my trip, including an exclusive interview with Lockheed Martin. I would say I welcome the questions, and we've done the analysis, we've done the homework, um, and a few other things that you might be surprised by. So stay tuned on my channel, subscribe if you're not already, it's free, and I'll see you in the next video.

If I’m a astronaut, I want my AI doctor to diagnose and operate on me. I don’t trust those humans.

I seems Frink's malady may be being stuck referring to himself in the third person - which leads to the multiple personality disorder where people turn into "they/them".
Good thing they caught it before he flipped trans and went on a space station killing spree.

But hearing his name I couldn't help but think of:

NASA has a credibility problem. They’ve become yet another organ of the Federal government that turned away from its mission. Just like Hegseth change DoD to the Department of War, its original purpose, Isaacman needs to wipe away the bureaucracy, cancel every useless DEI and woke outreach program NASA’s taken up in the last 20 years, and go back to paying a premium for top-notch AMERICAN engineers.

The brain trust that once was NASA is now a swamp of bureaucrats and paper pushers.

When a multi-million-dollar mission is aborted due to a "medical emergency," we (the public) have the right to know the details - namely: WHAT, exactly, was the "medical emergency?"

Just because it was Mike Frink doesn't mean that being pregnant is off the table... according to liberals.
